I'm still amazed it took Fergie so long to switch to a midfield 3 and when he did, he took Nani instead of Giggs.

He was awful today I thought. Not that Rooney, Giggs and Nani were much better but he was definitely the worst of the lot. This game reminded me of the match at Anfield last season in terms of our offensive display. We did actually have the ball in a number of promising positions, particularly in the first half, but the front four were very poor with their use of the ball.

Oh come off it now. Name one thing he did all game to contribute to an attacking piece of play? Everytime the ball was in the air he lost it.
What did he do though? He just seems to go totally into his shell in these high pressure games, particularly away from home. His problems are all in his head.
He created the best chance of the match which Rooney duly fluffed wide.
Actually, Berbatov was the only player today who could find team-mates in and around the box. He did it only 3-4 times though, partly because the service was terrible. Rooney's (half) chances in the first half were created by Berbatov, he was involved in that attack as well when Rooney failed to find him in the box. Neither good nor bad performance today.

Nope, Rooney is everyones scape goat, when if you look at the performances together, he probably edges Berbatov due to the fact he worked Gomes and continued driving on, rather than going missing.
What dangerous shooting chances did Berbatov create apart from the ball to Rooney early on which still left him a lot to do?
He basically had no service pissing about on his own up top when Rooney, Giggs and Fletcher kept fecking up passes between them.

Was there another United player today who did better than Berbatov creatively wise? Giggs, Nani and Rooney created nothing, not even a single half-chance today.
