Hope you are well.

He has had a good start to the season but it's too early to say anything conclusive - after 2 seasons we can't suddenly judge him after 3 games.

I hope he does well, no need to set targets but if he plays better it can only be better for us and more problems for SAF - good problems that is.

Doing well, thanks. And you? I am really glad he looks confident and if early signs are telling, he may have finally come to terms with himself that he is truly a part of United and feels comfortable with it. A sign of good things to come.

In my opinion, we should play something similar to what we did against Spurs last season when we won 3-1 with 10 men.

Rooney and Berbatov in midfield, Scholes and Carrick in CM, Nani on the left and Fletcher tucking in from the right.

A friend just told that he may have committed a foul (pushing his defender away) before his great goal.
I didn't care but he sounded like the goal should not have stood

I actually thought that myself, it looked like Berbatov's hand was on the players back and the defender was crouched over as if off-balanced by that, but you never really got a proper view of it. You'd think Spector(?) would've complained if pushed though, and as far as could tell he didn't, so I just assumed he misjudged the cross and couldn't pull back enough.

I hope Berbatov has a start to the season like Saha did in 2006/7. That early season form before he got himself injured won us the title that year. Berbatov early season form, if he can maintain it for 10 or so games might well be the difference for us this year.

Berbs has impressed me. It seems he has read his own press and realizes that hard work will win the fans over even if the form isn't there. Better yet, he is working hard AND on form. This could be his break out season and if he keeps going the way he is, picking between Berba and Rooney could be difficult.

I don't really think we should start a Rooney Vs Berbatov comparison.

So with all the problems that Rooney has had so far this season, how do all the resident BerbaHATERS feel about Berbatov being our main man. Put simply, until our Lothario sorts out his head and convinces SAF to play him, w are dependent on our resident Bulgarian.

Im fully behind him, always have been.

I honestly don't think we should create a divide in our fans based on Berba lovers and haters

all players should be judged fairly, he has been immense so far this season and long may it continue!

It created itself, mainly by the vitriol of some of the BerbaHATERS. it reached frankly disgusting levels last year. When he does succeed this season and romps us to winning out 19th PL, I will personally enjoy calling each and every single BerbatHater on it.

no problem, but I honestly don't see this as a compettition if you know what I mean

Think hes led the line brilliantly considering the limited service hes had, and that volley attempt was majestic.

Yeh he's done a really good job of holding it up when we've needed him too.

That volley was stunning.

Agreed, reminded me of a Hughes goal from the 90's, always remember the commentator talking about (I think) Sharpy running down the wing like a Porsche or something and then saying Hughes was the rolls Royce finishing it off.

He's had a very good game like Allforone said because of the lack of service but has put in a good shift.

Not really suited to the role but that's not down to him but more down to the fact that we don't have an attacking midfielder who can run beyond him when Berbatov drifts out wide. Scholes doesn't have the legs for this role anymore.

Absolutely made up for the lad, a top draw player with all the talent in the world at his disposal. Just shows what confidence and a bit of luck in todays game of football can do for a player like Berbatov..beautiful play as well for the goal from Scholes' sublime pin-point pass to Berba's ultra cool finish

Is his trademark classy finish, he's got that technique sorted nicely.

berbatov has made himself undroppable and that is coming from one of his most ardent detractors. If he keeps playing like this, we have to accommodate formations for him regardless of opposition.

Really happy for Berbatov, seems to have finally settled.. just hope he can expand on this and be effective in the Champions League too.

We should give serious thought to the idea of playing Rooney wide left now in the big matches. With Giggs in midfield off Berbatov and Nani on the right.

At the moment it's out best attack.

I said when the season started hed make a lot of people on here look very stupid, hes been feckin class every match this season and his goals are of such fantastic quality to, always maintained his ability is beyond question hes a fantastic player ability wise world class, his difficulties have all come a lack of confidence not aided by a section of our 'fanbase' booing him at every opportunity and blaming him for everything that goes wrong.....this time last year Berbatov would not have tried that outside of the foot shot he did today never mind score it, it just goes to prove how big a factor confidence is to any player even the most gifted.

i do wonder what we'll do against Liverpool next weekend now though because obviously Rooney will play at OT against the scousers so what do we do? on the one hand you surely cannot drop Berbatov in the form hes in and on the other 4-4-2 in such matches has been a graveyard for us for a long time now.

Personally if were determined to stick with the 4-5-1 in such games id keep Berbatov in over Rooney (whos hardly set the world alight this season in fairness) if thats the way Fergies determined to go, id like to see a Rooney Berbatov partnership though, the scousers aint much cop their midfields dog shite now so we shouldn't need 3 in there at home against them but id wager thats what Fergie will do.

Play Rooney left if we must got 4-3-3. Nani on the right.

Giggs looked a bit under-par today.
