Television Dexter

Yeah I’d agree with that, she’s cringe.

Echo what others say about the season so far. Have really enjoyed it, Michael C Hall does such a great job.
She reminds me of a team rocket character or someone from Pokémon.

If he doesn't die and there's another season, I imagine it'll be in a different state/location but maybe not Miami. From everything that has been said though they're adamant this season is the second chance at a finale.
If there is another season I hope that someone he meets ends up randomly meeting Joey Quinn from the original series and they have an awkward conversation about, erm, what's his name?...............Oh yeah.....HARRISON. Then immediately putting 2 and 2 together and googling about Dexter and finding him out in the space of 12 hours.

That would be my favourite.

Yep, really looking like it is a one and done series which I'm sad about. Angela puts Miami Homicide to shame.

I'm guessing Episode 9 will be about Dexter telling Harrison everything and them finding and dealing with Kurt with the odd bit about Angela, and Episode 10 will be the end of Dexter.

Angela is going to die and take all of her knowledge about Dexter with her. They could do Dexter mentoring Harrison for another season and then Harrison takes over the series.

So it takes a few days for Angela to solve BHB case?!
Either way I'm enjoying it now.
Got a feeling Angela may not survive the finale.

Not enjoying having to wait a week for the next episode. Enjoying the show though.

I reckon Harrison will be who ends Dexter.

Oh, and I thought the Dexter fanbase was overly critical at times but just seen the Chucky fanbase - a series about a murderous doll possessing the soul of a serial killer - arguing about the realisticness of death by being stabbed in the bumhole. A character died and was bleeding from the mouth and they were up in arms on reddit saying it wasn't realistic.

Could be. If they wanted to end it they could have Dexter realise she’s figured him out and Dexter gets Harrison to kill him. Harrison gets seen as the person who finally stopped him and then takes over the mantle

I'm trying to go through the original seasons before watching this with my wife. We're in season 5 now, but it's becoming a slog. Seasons 5-8 are shite.

I always enjoyed season 6 with the religious whack job and the four horsemen of the apocalypse. I think it was the strongest of the last 4 seasons, even if it was significantly poorer than the first 4 seasons.

Oh right that one was ok as well.

Finally caught up. Loving this season and it does seem more s1-4 than s5-8
Think s2 will remain my absolute favorite though

I kinda think
angela will get killed but not my dexter but by Kurt. Thus it takes away her knowledge and gives Dexter another reason to kill kurt but also Harrison ends up doing the deed thus a further father / son bond on controlling the dark passenger

I still maintain if you go from s4 to s6 you miss nothing. And s5 should have been the big one after the Trinity killer angle

Couldn't really have asked for much more from that episode, though think Kurt would have been more wary about entering his home. Looks like the last episode will be dedicated to the end of Dexter, with Angela probably thinking that he killed Molly too.

Oh and I've read elsewhere there's allegedly someone who has watched the final episode already spoiling what happens on social media so be careful.

If you have seen the spoiled plot, don't mention what happened here until at least this time next Sunday and in spoiler tags.

The look on Dexters face after he revealed he'd killed hundreds to Harrison and he said he'd saved thousands

I genuinely laughed out loud

Surely they’ll discover the weird doll den and know it was Kurt? They could’ve just left it unlocked for police to find.

With them staying at theirs I’m wondering if Dexter/Harrison uses the tablet and finds the BHB searches in the history. That rifle will likely come into play in some way as well. Maybe Harrison kills Angela to protect Dexter.

Great episode and its been a very good season. Its more S1-4 than S5-8 and that's the greatest compliment you can give it.

I still don't think they'll kill off Dexter though. You just never see these shows kill off a big character and completely close the window on potential future seasons. I don't think Harrison is ready to take over as showrunner just yet.

This started out nice and nostalgic for this Dexter fan, but it has really caught fire. This may just compete with the Jimmy Smits season. I don’t think the John Lithgow season can be out written.

I am goin to hate this season ending big time.

Could you painstakingly label it Season Finale Spoiler??

I like reading the regular after episode spoilers.

Fantastic episode this one. Really gutted that it’s the final episode next week but I’m definitely going to start the series over. No idea what will happen next week, gone through about 500 different scenarios in my head.

Really good episode.

Angela>>>Miami Metro.

I think Harrison will find out about her investigation & kill her to protect Dexter in the finale. That will put him in an interesting position between his code to stop monsters & his son.

However, I'd like to see them do another season with Dexter teaching Harrison about the code whilst Angela closes in on him.

Yeah I criticised it to begin with but it’s been pretty good.

The only dodgy ground this season has had so far is the Angel Batista randomly being at a police seminar about 300 miles away from Miami, where Dexters girlfriend was, and then mentioning Dexter and....erm...HARRISON!! and all that led to Angela finding out about Dexter.

Got to add the podcaster to that list, awful awful character!

3 episodes in. So this is actually semi decent?

Planned to never watch an episode of Dexter again after the shitshow it became.

Any chance that Dexter/Harrison end up teaming up with the police woman and her daughter?

I mean, Dexter is a serial killer, but he only kills criminals that deserved it. Why would you send your lover to jail for doing such a good job.

The one thing I love about this is I have absolutely no idea how it will actually end. Of course, we can all speculate but they could go in a number of directions..

Decided to give this a go.

Is there meant to be subtitles for the handful of scenes with other languages? There’s been some very brief Spanish that didn’t necessarily seem enough to need subtitles and then the few scenes with the Native Americans.
