Television Dexter

I loved that show. It started brilliantly and was one the way of becoming one of my favorite. And then, it became shit with pointless episodes and pointless characters, just for the sake of having 24 episodes a season. Ultimately it backfired, but I think that if they had decided to make 10-12 episodes a season (like GOT, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Dexter) that show could have been a big success.

Pretty much agree with your other two points. First four seasons are very good (especially the first and the fourth which are some of my favorite seasons of TV shows). Then the standard drastically decreases, with sixth being as bad as it could be.

Anyway, it is a no brainier that The Wire is much better.

Yeah flash forward became so pointless it was a joke. It was a really good concept and good idea, but they fecked it up.

I think I'll have to give in and watch the wire, I've seen one episode and did enjoy it. Or I might just watch spartacus first as there's less seasons.

That was horrendously bad to be fair.

The concept of the show forced stuff like that on it though, if it was possible to have it as a 12/14 episode season we'd have lost a lot of the filler that we had to put up with. All your great shows couldn't manage to maintain their quality if they had to produce 24 episodes a season.

Ill always love the show.

I guess "12" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Nope. 24 was the first proper intense series I watched and I loved it. Prison break doesn't get counted.

Everyone will probably suspect him after La Guerta's death, I'm guessing. Stupid police department but even they'll find something a bit amiss with that.

24 tried to make a villan out of Human Rights in season 4 ...Everything but the first season was shit.

Too many people = Debra + Hannah?!

If you go a bit further back there's more. Miguel Prado and Lumen both also knew what he was doing. At the start of the show it was pretty clear he didn't want anyone to know, so as Dargonk says just one person knowing is probably "too many".

Spot on, I'm not sure why he even said Debra/Hannah when there's a back log of quite a few people who found out. Miguel, Lumen, Doakes, La Guerta, Lyla etc. Of course four of them ended up dead from knowing, but his point in the clip was "Too many people have seen the full picture", when from day one, nobody was supposed to ever know.

Yep, forgot about Lumen. Prado, Lila, Doaks ended killed by him so there isn't that much relevance.

feck me according to that promo video bruce lee will be involved somehow.

Don't make much of the acting in that! Cheers for the clip, though.

Stopped watching this show after 4th season.

How are the next three seasons?
Worth watching?

Nope. Though the seventh is worthy only because of Yvonne Strahovski. The quality of the show becomes shit though.

Ignore them KM, the quality drops but it's still an enjoyable show to watch if you take it for what it is.

Indeed. By Dexter-standards it's been poor since season 4, but it's still a very good show.

it's far from being a good show, it's descending into a very mediocre show. Seeason six especially has diabolical writing, a rubbish villain, and an absolutely ridiculous plot filled with endless plotholes. By that stage Dexter is the only likable character left in the show, and even then, the writers (who are completely different to the writers from the early seasons) have basically turned him into a parody of himself.

it's shit, and if you've come this far without watching it, don't bother, the only reason I still do is cause i've invested so much time into the fecking thing at this stage.

Someone asked about Dexter and it took 3 hours for Cina to charge in complaining. Losing his touch.

Not a bad time to stop. The quality was slashed in half between that and the 5th season.

Surprised you stopped there, though! The wait was excruciating between that and the next season and there's no way I could've left it at that point. Shame how it turned out but they're all still worth watching

Ignore the silly people on here who complain about almost every show in the history of our existence and watch the next few seasons.

No, don't ignore us. We endorse and like a lot of shows on here, better ones than seasons five-seven of Dexter. Watch them instead.

I still enjoy Dexter, the 7th was the best one they've done for a while as well.
