I've been trying to see it myself but unfortunately the ones put on youtube keep getting taken down and the one on the official site doesn't work in the UK. Sure it will pop up on some site sooner or later.

I'm not winding anyone up though, it definitely exists.

One thing that I dont think anyone has seemed to realise is what this ending will actually to do to Dexter. Another innocent death caused by Dexter (being found out. EP11) Not to mention Rita was his wife too.
 
We'll probably never know, but part of me makes me think when Trinity was in Debra's apartment he used her laptop to try to find out Dexter's address/details.

When he did he managed to bring up the old newspaper article (which Debra was looking at earlier) about Dexter being found in blood and that's why he left the baby in the blood like that.

Either that or it's just coincidence/put in by writers as a parallel to what happened to Dexter.

Never heard of it, what's it about?

If they are going to go down the Dexter the suspect route they have a few bits of circumstantial evidence.


  • Rita kissing the neighbour, could be revenge by dex
  • Dexter becoming violent, pushing quinn down, bunching paul and the cop
  • The other two kids were conveniently out of the way
  • Dexter has no alibi after the murder as he was stalking/killing arthur
May not be enough for an official investigation but maybe enough for Quinn to go after him.
 
I think another disturbing thing about the final scene is that we've seen Trinity's bath ritual, so we know exactly what Rita went through and how her life ended.


Oh and Ivor, Breaking Bad is class. It's about a Chemistry teacher who finds out he has lung cancer, so teams up with an ex student to make meth to leave money for his family. Really good show, well worth a watch. Best new show in a long time.

Dexter pretended as ig he was directing Arthur who was lost didn't he?? So no problems there.

But had a problem with killing a dying animal. So we dont really know what he would have felt about a baby who wasnt threatening to expose him in any way.

I saw Rita's death coming. At first I wondered if it would be Deb's time to go, but after the conversation she had with Dexter about his mother and the nice moments Dexter was spending with his wife, it was quite obvious to me who they were going to kill off.

And, while this show has been my favourite show since I found out about it and started watching it before the first season had finished showing on US tv, I was actually slightly dissappointed at how they did the ending. Thought it could have been more of an epic scene than it was. It was still a very good episode but having had to wait to watch it I was just slightly dissappointed by the end section. Still a far better finale than last time though

What I meant was he's not restricted to only killing as per his ritual. he could do it when he wants to. Someone said he didn't kill Harrison because he's not part of the cycle so that clearly doesn't apply

He admitted in the interview that Rita was not part of the cycle but just pure vengeance. Also he never killed the boys he kidnapped, just buried them alive, even more difficult to kill a baby.
 
My theories for next season.
Dexter will be the number 1 suspect in Ritas murder. Lose his job. He has a lot of things going against him here, especially acts of aggression, hit a neighbour for kissing his wife, arrested, knocking Quinn on his arse and supposedly finding out he was related to the Ice truck killer.
Astor and Cody will be with the Grandparents. Dexter and Debs will be left with the baby.
Debs and Quinn will start being romantically involved.
Quinn will have a major Doakes style hard on for Dexter.
The Chief will reveal he knows about Dexter.
Debs will find out about Dexter and make a choice of her Brother or Quinn. She will pick Dexter.
Cody will be re-united with Dexter at some point and Dexter will recognise behaviour in the boy similar to how he was as a boy. Dexte will have to choose wether he will start to teach him Harry's code or try to really help and over come his demons.
Dexter in prison. (Hopefully resulting in a Watchmen/Rorsarch style of enviroment) Until Debs finds the footage of Trinity in the station.
Just ideas. I also can't believe how much I'm still reeling from that finale.
 
someone mentioned it before but what links deb finding out who dexters mother was, finding out the ice truck killer is dexters brother and Dexter being the bayharbour butcher?

Can't think how deb will find out dex is the bay harbour butcher from what she knows ?

It was what he was afraid of her finding out that was all, nothing really links them to it.
 
Dexter just got nominated for best drama at the golden globes, also the favourite to win it, as is Michael C' Hall for actor and Lithgow for supporting actor.
 
Does anyone here watch Bones? is it as good as Dexter? Worth a watch?
 
At this rate, nothing is as good as Dexter.

Well, maybe House comes close. Supernatural so far this season ain't all that bad too.

From what I can remember

of the season 1 finale, Dexter's brother the Ice truck killer had set Deb up for Dexter to kill her. She knew that the ice truck killer had her before she was unconcious and set up in the room with all the plastic sheets as Dexter likes it. So when she wakes up and everything has been sorted, she wasnt murdered and the ice truck killer is dead, clearly someone had saved her and killed the ice truck killer. I dont remember how thats explained away but I guess it must have been.

And Deb finding out that he was Dexter's brother would bring her closer to discovering that Dexter was there with him when she was kidnapped by the ice truck killer, had the chance to kill her and chose to kill his brother instead. If she found out that much she'd know that he was a killer and I think thats what he's afraid of her finding out. That he kills people. Afterall, the only people Dexter has allowed to know that are dead people and his baby.

I like where you're going (Rorsarch:lol:), but
I don't think that Dexter will be training anyone to kill anytime soon. With his failed attempt to teach his ways to Miguel Prado in Season 3, and his increasing lack of confidence in himself and his code, I think it's too early for him to be passing along knowledge.

I do think Quinn will have a big part in next season, as he really didn't have much to add to this season except for growing a tense relationship with Dexter over the last few episodes. I think that will lead into next season.

I do not think Dexter will be suspected for Rita's death.


I can't wait.
