Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

I'm at light level 291 now. does that seem like enough for raiding?

if so I'm up for a go at it during the weekend
Yeah that'll be fine.

Got my exotic sword :D

299 light with just the ghost shell from the raid. Not bad.

Just got the black spindle, fecking hard mission that. Ended up getting it with over a minute left on the third try though.

Congrats, how on earth did you manage to do it with over a minute left?
The two people I was with are both warlocks and everyone just uses their super at the start of every room, clear everything our in seconds basically. Combo of supers and swords and we got to the last room with like, 6.5 minutes left I think? Was a very clean run.

Ohhhh where do you get the swords? I've been doing raids and wondering where these feckers have got their swords from. I assumed it was just a Super weapon.
It's a questline you get, you have to collect 25 hadium flakes and then collect something else (forget what) and then you pick between void, solar or arc sword. Then with that you get a questline when you upgrade it past 280 damage and fully upgrade everything and the questline is to make it exotic.

Just got so close to getting the exotic!!! We cleared the boss and got stuck the centurion at the back of the room!! Was the last one standing! Had we done it 30 seconds earlier we would have done it!!
And played the goligorth part of the raid, when you figure out the mechanics it should be quite simple! :)

Will definitely need a third as its a toughie. I had an attempt earlier and with 6 mins left on the clock it didn't get finished as one of the people I was with didn't bother attacking the boss in the last room. Key is apparently to get the boss downed fast and destroy the blights as they come up so there's not too many enemies

Its proper tough, got so close on 3 occasions last night when we were down to the last few adds and couldn't clear them fast enough. Its a good challenge though and a worthy reward if you get it.

If ya do get the 310 light black spindle infuse it into another weapon as bungie will be patching it down to 290 and you can always just buy it in the kiosk afterwards.

Still need it doing, AL?

Loving the Solar exotic sword. Got it fully upgraded and can do uppercuts with R2 though it costs 5 heavy ammo.

Best seems to be the Arc one and with that when you press R2 a beam of Arc fires out.

Will be around if anyone needs me for something but for now I'll be working on getting the normal Arc sword

Made some decent progress tonight, beat Oryx and opened up all those quests. Now sitting at 245 light and got a bunch of legendary weapons. Most of it was just running about the dreadnought lost for about 2 and a bit hours trying to find haldium flakes, only managed to get one

mausoleum is the place to go! I hate that quest too

@Damien did your sword drop at 310 light and is it supposed to drop at 310 light if it did as it would go the same way as the spindle when a patch rolls out?
Yes it dropped as 310 light and I've not seen any comment by the Bungie team saying it wasn't meant to be like that. The exotic blueprint is a 280 so I'm pretty sure it is intentional.

Given what you've got to go through to get the exotic sword, I'd say it deserves 310

Forked out 65 legendary marks too early on an engram and got an item with 245 armour - meanwhile I didn't realise that I could have purchased one via vanguard for only 10 marks more which would have had 280 armour .

It was 310 and then I heard they were patching so I infused it with my raid sniper which is now 310, bought like 12 of them and infused everything else I had to be at 300

And no, though that's a smart method. We just shot him from the starting area and then if someone had the warlock super they just cleared out the adds, while everyone else sniped from the back basically. We must have been on 7.5 minutes by the time we got to the room because we made it really comfortably in the end.

Hopefully, im just upgrading mine at the moment so i can start the quest, it would have been nice to have landed the spindle just to infuse it

That looks awesome. Just a random drop?
Yep, it only drops from the Tanik strike. There's a Titan helm that drops from the Darkblade strike and others are listed here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/155166883/0/0

I have the Psion Flayers one, it's more of a syandana like in warframe, it's two strips of see through luminous red cloth with lights that crawl up and down up it.

I've seen a few people wear it. Didn't realise it was from that strike until now though.

Any caffers want to attempt the raid this weekend?

The telesto makes the nightfall a joke  Killed the saber guy in 10 seconds, not a single enemy spawned. Crazy.
