I have not completed the raid, only tried it the once I want to do it, but they can take hours to complete not something you can easily knock out in 30 min with 4 people. If we can get 6 of us to do it tomorrow then it is something I want to do

Being higher level doesn't make that much difference, you don't keep doing more and more damage as you power up as it caps out so while it will help us a bit it won't be like we can one shot everything. Also with the raids, especially Leviathan, they're quite mechanic heavy so you need a full 6 man team to fill out the roles needed for each encounter really. We might be able to do bits and pieces with 4/5 people but I doubt we'd get a completion.

Good news is the cruicible is massively improved going back to 6 players, still no way to choose which game mode you want though, Control was the most played mode for a reason in D1, why they force everyone to play stuff they dont want to is bonkers.

It's also because sbmm got turned off accidentally and they've decided to leave it off for now so if you're competent at pvp you're probably performing a lot better.

best thing to do is use www.destinylfg.net and try to meet likeminded people on there.
You've chosen a tricky time as most people are trying to level up as high as possible right now, with the new forsaken raid launching this weekend.
Once that all settles down i'm sure you'll find more people interested, but until now you need to find other's at a similar light level that want to play/learn the raid.
Is this worth playing if you don't have a party to team up with? Just 'purchased' it while it was free on PS Plus but not sure whether to download and play it. Thought the first one had some really great gunplay but ultimately found it irritatingly addictive. Any changes to the core of the game?
More of the same imo. I'm going to try and do all the content, then put it down as I can already feel the game digging it's claws into me.
I put excessive amounts of time into the first so I'm apprehensive but loading up this game gave me all sorts of nostalgia.... Like riding a bike down familiar streets
I'm level 285 now so I'll have a go at it with ya, soonish. Got the first 2 DLC so I'll finish those first, and then try all available end game content, then flee...

I was getting into it until Spiderman dropped, although, I'm not far from completion on that, so will be back on Destiny soon.
Haven't gamed with @Damien in forever. Some say that he's still trying to complete the jumping section in Vault of Glass. I miss hearing his voice. Oh, wait...
Latest raid is brutal. Only 3 teams have made it to the final boss in 9 and half hours. And the first team which made it to the boss have been at it for four hours and they havent even made it past the first phase yet.
Just got an amazing perk roll on a Pulse rifle. Firstly it fires 4 bullets instead of the usual 3 from a pulse rifle, but it came with Outlaw and Rampage and also ricochet rounds as another perk. Masterworked it for handling too. Very reliable all round gun, tears through mobs easily and once you stack rampage 3 times you can do decent damage on tougher enemies. So glad they reintroduced random rolls back, static loot made the game boring.
He is legend, was talking about this with my kid a few days ago. Nobody can butcher a jumping puzzle like our Damo
and then they brought out this in the King's Fall raid which I actually ended up getting decent at in the end. The first six times though, my god. I've got one with outlaw and kill clip so it's pretty similar.

Go Figure. Outlaw and Kill Clip probably work better together than Outlaw and Rampage so nice.

Clan redeem did it after 18 hours
he must have been a warlock then, they can’t jump to save their lives. Even in D2 in the story mission when you first get to Titan their was a jump I made 1st time with my Hunter and Titan but was the hardest part of the whole campaign to do with my Warlock
I had one of all three but warlock was my main and the one I had most issues on.

It’s crazy, I feel like it’s put me off trying the raid early as I just can’t see how the average joe will get through this raid without a team of experienced players that work well as a team.
I get they wanted to make it more difficult this time but I think they went too mechanicy this time?
Maybe we should try the leviathan raid instead it would be easier at our light
