Surely at his age, and given the service he's given Chelsea, they'd let him leave for a relatively low amount...I reckon £10m would get you Cech...easily...

Cech is the answer.

Chelsea might sting us a little but still fantastic and could do a great job for years. Still think he's better than Courtois, Chelsea have just been forced to play him a little earlier than anticipated because they don't want to lose the potential best keeper in the world for the next decade or so.

If he is to go, Cech would be a brilliant replacement. Lloris we would pay proper money for. But Cech probably a better keeper and taking him away from Arsenal potentially I could also see Cech having years left in VDS mould.

If De Gea goes, someone we definitely should conisder is Diego Alves from Valencia. He's just as acrobatic with the same reflexes and makes some top quality stops like De Gea, with similar weaker areas. However he's not as consistant as De Gea has been and he's 2 inches smaller at 6'2. We're obviously not going to find anyone who is exactly as good as De Gea in every way, but Diego Alves is the same style. He might take a season to adapt to the premier league like De Gea did

Using his reactions and shot stopping, he became la liga's best penalty stopper for 25 years with his 14th penalty save. He's since saved from the likes of Bacca at Sevilla and Ronaldo at Madrid

Its has to be Cech,GK are like wine they get better with every added year,Zoff,VDS,Buffon.
He got good commending at the back to organise our inexperience defense,Chelsea asking price might bit more but i don't see any better keeper than him at the movement.

How bad do people think Valdes is? I think someone mentioned Boaz Myhill on a previous page.

I guess no one really knows. Except for those who have watched him in training and for the reserves.

Those who say he's good enough have almost as little basis as those who say he's past it, I think.

It's all down to LvG and Hoek. If we go for Valdes, he's obviously been good enough in training.

Handanovic is shit, Begovic shouldnt be in a discussion to replace De Gea. But Handanovic makes more mistakes than Lloris and Casillas put together, they guy is useless. He is a penalty killer and has good reflexes at times, but i would be nervous in every shot we concede. Just yesterday made another mistake, dont know how many he already made this season that cost his team vital points. Seems to live from his past reputation, he isnt 22 anymore.
if Handanovič is shit then apart from the obvious 3 I wonder who you deem "good".
not only has he been the only one to rival Buffon for the past 3-4 seasons, he's also great at penalties, holds a record in serie A for the most consecutive penalties saved if I'm not mistaken.

I dont care much for penalties. He is similar to LLoris, just not convincing enough. His lapses of concentration this season show that he wouldnt be good enough for us. All Gks make mistakes etc, but the mistakes Handanovic made from simple shots were scary.

honestly, if the unthinkable were to happen and we lost out on De Gea there are only a handfull of keepers I'd be inclined to sign. Handanovič would be one of the first on the list next to Lloris and Cech. I'm not going to bother naming the ones who aren't going anywhere since there's no point in that.

Both Handanovic and Lloris are very good goalkeepers.

If we don't get Cech we need a young talented keeper since we have Valdes (who is a very good goalkeeper) to ease him in For a season.

Jose isn't that tall is he?

Was looking forward to Cech's stupid cap.

Will boo my streams, live matches & MOTD2 if he stays.

Going to boo Eurovision too.....Probably boo my dinner later on to

cech is the only viable replacement that could ease the pain of gea. He would do a cracking job or oranising and commanding this defence to.

That picture defiantly looks like cechs agent. I think it's legit

Well let's say De Gea is 100% off and leaving. We would ideally want his replacement before he jets off on holiday and get him signed up early. I think it might be legit but who knows.
Is Woody small, or is Jose tall?

Woody is pretty short

I think it's smart keeping tabs on Cech whilst De Gea decides his future. The De Gea saga could drag out all summer, and we dont want to be panicking last minute over a Goalkeeper

I don't see the point of signing Cech, when we have Valdes here. I'd rather bring in a young goalkeeper, who can rotate with Valdes.

I think Cech would be much cheaper than a lot of people are thinking, he's a 33 year old second choice with 12 months left on his contract. Assuming the internet is in the ball park he's on 120k a week.

FFP must becomes a consideration for Chelsea, I think he could be picked up for a nominal fee, 2m - 3m. Roman has apparently promised him he can go where he wants

If he goes it won't be to a PL club.
