De Gea post-season interview: "Ones who want to stay, stay at the club. Ones that don't want to stay go out. You don't have to stay here."

Taking responsibility takes different forms. Talking is one thing, but he never seems to improve his deficiencies. He should maybe concentrate on that first before throwing team mates under the bus when he himself hasn't been excellent.
Ignoring the fact that he's carried us at times this season (and several previous seasons) ... Has he said anything that's not common knowledge by now? Then exactly how has he thrown anyone under the bus, especially when he hasn't even named anyone?

Some of you lot let your dislike of a player cloud your judgement.

These sorts of comments are so shameful. Just like Mata earlier in the week, De Gea has become part of the problem at United.

These lads should be keeping their heads down and hoping the new manager sees something in them instead of trying to spin some PR for themselves.

Believe what you want. Hopefully you bother to support the club next season.

What has my belief got to do with supporting the club?

I think we’re going to win the Champions League with Fred and McTominay in midfield. Is that better?

If anyone has a right to talk it’s de gea. Been our player of the season more often than not and has been here long enough to compare standards then and now. Don’t lump one of the only undoubtedly decent pros we have in with the rest of the chancers.

How can I say with a straight face that the dressing room completely breaking down and the behind the scenes toxicity this season is completely different to what the dressing room was like in the two seasons before when we finished much higher and got far better results with a straight face? Super easily actually. Because it’s true to anyone without an agenda. I never said Ole was blameless - I agree with a bloated squad although the hoarding of players and constantly playing “favourites” explains the unhappiness first half of the season - not the second half of the season when the squad was very thin and AWB, Shaw, Maguire and Rashford have all been dropped at various points. So if it was that simple why did we get worse with even more toxicity ending the season with 3 wins in 10 and 16th in the form table?

You do understand the phrase 'coming to a head', don't you? Things don't immediately start rotting. A player doesn't start feeling resentful when he misses a game or two, and another off-form player is preferred. He starts being so when that pattern develops over time. When Bailly sees Maguire rushed back against Leicester, only to make big errors leading to goals, and still get picked ...

By the time you want to get a new manager in, it's too late. You have Martial saying stuff like whether or not a new manager comes in, I want to leave United (as he said almost the moment Rangnick was appointed). What's that to do with the new manager? It's to do with the atmosphere that had built up over the previous regime.

You, among others here, underestimate just what damage Solskjaer did.

Somebody from the squad has to give a post match interview so they can either give the usual boring footballer speak or be honest. I appreciate De Gea being honest and letting some frustration out. After all he's one of the only players in this squad that knows what it means to win at United.

Can't wait for his tell-all autobiography.

'I usually like to chill out after training with some Slayer cranked full blast, but after one particular session in May 2022 I just couldn't get into it. Maguire was giving the room his usual stoney faced, shoulder slumped hard man routine when suddenly out of nowhere he fell out of view courtesy of a lobbed chair.

As he scrambled back to his feet I pulled my headphones out to hear the familiar dulcet tones from our frequent troublemaker. "You cat penis. I fecking kill you." I rose as Juan came charging forward, another chair in his hands. "Motherfecker. You feck up pass again. Cat penis." The last few words drowned out by the sound of the metal legs whacking against Harry's ample forehead. Juan liked chairs.

I tried to restrain him but everyone knows that once Mata starts there's really no stopping him. It's like falling into the fog, he would tell you. A fog filled with untold rage. Most of the time we just let him get on with it but after the amputated toe incident with Jesse the week before, or the squirrels nailed to Rangnick's door with the blood scrawled words "feck out the feck off" above it the previous night, we knew we had to stop him before he did something bad.

Cristiano had seen it all coming and had grabbed the tranquilliser gun. After removing his shirt he fired into Juan's buttocks. Mata eventually went down. Four darts. He's building up an immunity to them. feck."

Was going to ask why everyone throws Shaws name in when discussing this? He was one of the first to publicly call out the players when he done it in a post match interview months ago.

I really don't think it's him

Narcissistic people always make it look like someone else is the problem

They're both senior pros and their comments are clearly alluding to the fact that others in the dressing room haven't shown the required standard of professionalism. They're absolutely entitled to call that out, regardless of their own flaws as footballers, because they're pretty obviously not the ones bitching, leaking and showing bad character behind the scenes.

Not holding back there. And Mata too, earlier in the week. Two softly spoken professionals who have become disgusted with this bunch of players. Damning. Now savage this squad please. The most disliked group of players in the history of the club.

Can the players behave this way and still get full salary ? In normal jobs they would all get the sack

Just try to be a supporter of the club. Perhaps look up the meaning, get to a few games and back the new manager and the players he goes with.

That’s brilliant

Not to mention that adding an undroppable alpha male like Ronaldo to a dressing room which is already divided by players who don’t think the team gets picked on merit was the catalyst for the whole shit show to collapse in on itself. A tipping point that had obviously been reached before Rangnick took over.

We're not winning the league again with De Gea in net. If we do, I'll buy you a pint.

Feck keeping your head down in this shitstorm. Finally players are speaking up.

I really don't think it's him
There was a social media rumor Shaw was one of the mole's and his outburst after the England game didn't help his case

He played every single minute of this season and 57 goals were conceded with him goal. He is also extremely passive in goal. He is part of the problem.
He really fecking isn't.

This myth needs to be killed with fire as it's fecking embarrassing.

Fighting talk from one of the biggest bottlers in the squad. What an absolute mess we're in. De Gea can talk all he wants, he's fecking shit like the rest of them.
Without David we would be playing in the stupid conference. He is right,
57 goals conceded would have Been worse, He had calamity Harry in front of him.
If players don't want to be with us, he is right to tell them to sod off.

Interview for those who want to watch it.

Was just going to post.

Nothing wrong with what he says at all.

Those posters/social media tools who think he’s throwing players under the bus or singling himself out as an exception can do one. Clearly says “we” more than once and it was a bad season from everyone.

Regardless of ability, we always used to have players who gave 100% and didn’t quit… standards have dropped and can’t be doing with people who think anything DDG said is wrong. Babies.

Oh please do tell us about the pro active, cross claimer, defense organizer, counter attack starter sweeper keeper De Gea.

Even his shot stopping isn't that good anymore.

Rubbish.

Hes made mistakes but he hasn’t bottled anything.

Compared to the shite we’ve had from Maguire, Rashford, Shaw and a few others, he’s fecking prime Neuer.

Aye. It's no coincidence that leaks about the cliques forming began this season.

Because Nick Pope came higher than De Gea in all of them, and look where that got him

Sometimes this place really cracks me up,:lol:

And the rest of our squad is prime Brazil in the seventies?

He's saved us many points this season.

He really is. A fecking bottler who has a 'good' season every time we finish 6th because it meant we didn't finish 8th, I.e when the pressure is off. Watch him when there is something at stake to play for, whether for United or Spain; nine times out ten he'll make a howler. He lost his place to fecking Kepa in the Spanish team ffs.

Because Nick Pope came higher than De Gea in all of them, and look where that got him

Yeah, 4 goals fewer conceded than Manchester United while playing for an actual relegation team. Pretty impressive.

VDS was playing for midtable Fulham. Does that mean that Caroll or Taibi where better than him?

Football is a team sport.

And the rest of our squad is prime Brazil in the seventies?

He's saved us many points this season.
Did he now? Shoud I remind you that this man is on 375K week and wouldn't even start for the Top6? And yet people are mad because Bruno got a raise.

Imagine if he's one of those deemed a bad character, or not good enough by the new manager
