Whether people like it or not, we are the new Arsenal. All that is left is us losing our talented players because we can't get our head out of our arses.
Where could be possibly go? PSG?
I could see Juve or Bayern going for him.
What a load of nonsense. Neuer was injured for a long time, cos 2 times broke his ankle in short time and to say his performances have dropped off is totally laughable. He is still a class above the rest and the chances for Bayern to replace him are ZERO..not a snowball in hell chance for that to happen.I don't think he's looked that good over the last couple of seasons, there's a drop off IMO, and Bayern are ruthless,
Always a pleasure Jingois......I mean Nostradamus. What a load of nonsense. This is exactly what is going to happen. And talented replacements will be severely difficult to find. I hate to drag Mourinho into the thread but I do think it's related. Is Ducker reliable?
I reckon he will leave regardless along with Pogba and Martial.
Based on what and how do you know he wasn't offered one. Genuinely curious as I haven't read any of that in the press. He would have signed it in the summer if we'd put it on the table and supported him after his bad WC.
He's also a big fan of Mourinho and his current GK coach.
If someone else came in, he'd have to think twice.
The Anti-Jose and Pro-Woodward fans looking like clowns yet again.
What’s so funny? Romero’s been top notch for us.
PSG would probably be interested, not sure if they feel a top GK is a priority though.
I don’t see Juve matching what we are already paying him, especially right after Ronaldo’s deal.
This sort of thing is part of the bigger picture that people who want Mourinho stay don't seem to grasp. Our best players will want out. No good players will want to play our shit brand of football and compete for the domestic cups and the Europa league. We're on a downward trajectory and narrowly beating Newcastle at home isn't about to make De Gea and Pogba desperate to spend their best years with us.
Yeah agree. Long-term Mourinho has no future at United. The football is just too shite. This sort of thing is part of the bigger picture that people who want Mourinho stay don't seem to grasp. We haven't tried that. Anyways the priority is to sort out the defense, with or without De Gea.Not for 40-50 matches a season.

True. A better defence means our dependency on GKs can be less means we can bring a new GK and still be a good team. Just hope we don't take money but players if we are indeed selling him.We haven't tried that. Anyways the priority is to sort out the defense, with or without De Gea.
Which is where I said we need better defending. I am not looking at Romero as a long term replacement. But I think he is good enough to do a decent job and pull saves when called for, if there is no relentless pressure on the GK.He does several mistakes in the few games he plays but they mostly go under the radar as he does some good saves in them and besides, the games he plays usually come far away from each other.
If he plays regularly week in week out most of these mistakes will start to become obvious and exposed imo. That's why he's a very good second GK.

De Gea is only one of a bunch of players we might lose if we're not smart enough to axe Mourinho asap.Relax guys, even if he leaves we still have Big Serge and Lee Grant.
Romero is an excellent keeper, but he's not DeStaya.Which is where I said we need better defending. I am not looking at Romero as a long term replacement. But I think he is good enough to do a decent job and pull saves when called for, if there is no relentless pressure on the GK.
I wouldn't want to play for Mouriniho either
One significant difference is that we can still pay top top wages to our players, more than 99 percent of clubs in Europe.Arsenal were underachieving on the field and they didn’t have the money to keep their best players...We are stagnating on the field but we can still afford to offer De Gea a 300,000 per week contract.Even Real Madrid/Barca wouldn’t be willing to pay those wages for a GK....Whether people like it or not, we are the new Arsenal. All that is left is us losing our talented players because we can't get our head out of our arses.
His biggest worry should also be that he won’t find another big club in Spain and England if he were to leave now.Where could he possibly go?Athletico Madrid can’t afford to pay him over 250,000 per week.... Madrid have Courtouis....He doesn’t really suit Barcas style of play....Liverpool and Chelsea spent millions to sign new Goalkeepers.David doesn’t really have too many options other than to stay at United...I'm sure he recently said how much he loves it here, etc. I would assume his biggest worry is the same as the rest of us - we won't challenge for anything and our style is garbage.

worst thing is if he left I have zero confidence in our ability to replace him with similar talent
another incentive to sort out the club asap
take Pogba and De Gea out and you are looking at all kinds of ordinary
true but pretty darn good is not in the same league as incredibleRomero may not be De Gea, but he is pretty darn good.
true but pretty darn good is not in the same league as incredible
we've struggled to win anything significant without an elite goalkeeper (Pete, Edwin and David)
