To be honest, this situation (if true) goes way beyond just simple do we want to have the player decision. We are talking about one of the biggest clubs in the world being bullied by an agent... It does not matter who the agent is.

We should not back down even if it means De Gea leaving.

He has interests in both teams, probably at the end will try to make everyone happy. I read that he is trying to bring Laporte to United.
 
The main thing is whether DDG wants to stay or not. If not, let him go. In the last 3-4 games he seems to be off-form a bit, so if that is due to him being unhappy, let him go. If Falcao is part of the deal, then tell their agent to feck off. However, I have got a feeling that DDG will stay, whereas Radamel will be playing elsewhere next season.

Same here. I'd go one step further and end the "relationship" we have with Mendes completely.

Of course. We will have to pay over the roof for Falcao and for that kind of money plus what we'll have to give De Gea to stay we could probably sign someone like Lloris/Navas plus have money left to purchase a defender and partly finance a defensive midfielder signing. Signing Falcao would be just throwing money down the drain.

Because he's given us so many great players? Honestly we had Ronaldo out of his clients who did well for us but still left for Real Madrid at 24, who else was there that Mendes has given us that excelled for us and didn't ask to leave like Ronaldo and seemingly De Gea did?

Nani and De Gea signed with him immediately before signing for us, not sure if we were the ones pushing him on them or if it was the other way around. IMO, those deals where the agent is switched right before a big money move always look dodgy as hell.
 
Can't imagine LvG accepting something as ridiculous as that.

Falcao will leave and de Gea can as well if he's not committed.

The more I think about it the more I can see De Gea becoming a Real Madrid legend, more than a United keeper legend.
I absolutely prefer him staying but like @theyneverlearn said if one's not committed then he should leave.

This guy is our only irreplaceable player. The only player who I would be devastated to see go.

Saved our season with that save earlier. 4 loses in a row most likely with Arsenal next if he didn't stop that shot.

Things Ed Woodward should do to keep De Gea:

Rename Carrington to David De Carrington.
Sign any ex U21 Spaniard he wishes.
Free doughnuts.
£250,000 per week
Put him on penalty duty.
Make a David De Gea Beard of the Season Competition which disqualifies Mata.
Give him the keys to Old Trafford.
Make sure he can never me within 50 metres of Juan Mata and Ander Herrera at all times.
Make him the new Labour leader, he can save our country in red.
 
Something about the way LVG mentioned Dave in the pre match thing on MUTV makes me feel very uneasy...
 
Just an awesome player. That save from Murray could have got us Champions League football. Unreal! Really hopes he stays.

He was asked about Depay... But the manager batted it away, saying 'we don't have to answer these questions', 'we have to focus on our games.' 'When you sign a player, you disturb the focus of the present players'. 'We need to speak about Crystal Palace, and not about Memphis Depay or David De Gea, or something like that'. Present players? Might mean nothing...

Mid table?Nah,the team has progressed from last year b,esides United has had very good keepers in recent years
