Sassy Colin
Death or the gladioli!
Anyone want to play this game for De Gea? I don't have all the stats.

I clearly have too much time on my hands.
But: According to the information provided, the transfer market value of the player is between € 25.8 million and € 30.0 million
That'd be £18m to £22m, which seems pretty low to me...I guess that's what people have been saying all along.
If he did decide to go then i won't too fussed, as long as we get in a top class keeper like Lloris and we then demand Real to include Bale in any potential deal.
Happy days.

Sucks, that'd be an absolute steal for Real.According to Wikipedia: The press reported that Kroos had cost between €25 million and €30 million.
Pretty much similar figures here. It's low, but unless Madrid get a transfer ban, I'd imagine we'd sell him for a very similar fee.
Wouldn't be surprised if De Gea signed a new deal and as a result we kept Falcao for another year as a favour to Mendes
This whole Falcao thing, I just don't get it.
What does Ge Gea care what happens to Falcao, it has nothing to do with him.
This is how I feel, if he wants to go then he should just come out & say so, it's been dragging in for too long now & his form has definatly dipped recently?which is not exceptable from a £200 k p/w keeper.
Not even arsed about getting Bale in exchange, I just want players that want to be here.
Obviously DDG couldn't care less about Falcao and I think the Mendes involvement in DDG's case is overstated, but still depending on Falcao's situation Mendes might advice DDG accordingly. In this case he wouldn't say to DDG: " Please extend with United so Falcao gets another season" but rather give him reasons why it would be best for DDG to extend (obviously without mentioning Falcao). This whole Falcao thing, I just don't get it.

We are basically in Ronaldo territory again where we develop a very, very top bracket player, and they get a series of short but lucrative contracts with the idea of preserving value as opposed to securing their future until the inevitable happens and they go to Madrid. I'd take an extension and effectively another year from De Gea which will give us time to get our ducks in a row and also get a good fee.
A problem on the playing side of things is that if we go out and re-build our defence this summer, once they all settle next season, they will then have another goalkeeper playing behind them.
A big club who might not be in the CL next season. He could be waiting to see what happens with that which is fair enough.I'd rather he fecks off this summer if those are his intentions anyway. We're a big club. Im tired of us playing feeder club for Real. I dont even care about him signing a contract just to keep his value up as well. I want us to sign a goalie who's committed to us long term

Right now he has a choice between a club that's challenging for the top trophies each year and a club that is struggling to achieve top 4. That's how a foreigner will perceive the choice, I wouldn't blame him if he left.I'd rather he fecks off this summer if those are his intentions anyway. We're a big club. Hernandez, Ronaldo, Heinze, van Nistelrooy, Beckham, ...Cunningham.Feeder Club to Madrid?

You do know what a feeder club is right?Hernandez, Ronaldo, Heinze, van Nistelrooy, Beckham, ...Cunningham.
We're clearly a feeder club.
Yeah. My point was that there have been a total of six players who moved from United to Real, two of which were loans (and one of those was in the 80s). Only one full transfer has happened in the past 8 years. It's ridiculous that people say shit like that - we are not even close to being a feeder club for Real. You do know what a feeder club is right?

Not gonna lie. I've wondered the same thing. Why do people have any interest in following contract negotiations? Surely the only thing people care about is whether he signs or not, and the minutiae of the contract and negotiations themselves are too boring to even think about? Just under half a million views on something that hasn't changed since the thread was started just seems bizarre to me.
if there is any truth at all in that it shows how shamelessly corrupt the game is
I guess sometimes we have to grease a few palms.if that rumour is true it would be a real expression of the influence of Mendez at United and possibly Madrid
Just for you then, latest nonsense form the Twatter thread:

Radamel Falcao could remain at United if David de Gea signs new contract #mufc http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-united-transfer-news-de-9189681#ICID=sharebar_twitter …

Or employ a hit man to assassinate Mendes. Whichever is the least damaging to the club. That can't be true.
If it is, I'd rather we just sell De Gea.
So is Mendes trying to strong-arm us into keeping Falcao by using the De Gea contract situation against us?? If so, I'd suggest the club tell all of them to shove off (yes including De Gea). Be seething if we complied with Mendes.
Quite. Right now I'd rather we just fecked them both off this summer. Nobody is irreplaceable.
