If he's going then make Real pay 75M. Do it. How much do they value him? Hate those feckers.
Oh good, Pexbo says he'll sign, he's never wrong.
You're a proper sharp one Colin, I'll give you that.Someone changed the thread title.

Why is the monumental douchebag sitting in an office chair in the middle of the room?
Lets be honest, at this current moment in time, Manchester United is nowhere near the level of Madrid. What can we offer that they can't beat/match? Going to be gutted if he leaves, but I'm not sure there is anything we can do to stop the move if David himself wants to go.
They are suffering for it now.Now I know how those Dortmund fans felt when Bayern poached Lewandowski with one year left in his contract. His importance to Dortmund was similar to DDG for us.
Yeah. When you have a player as influential as him, that "oh we can compensate his lost by getting better player(s) in X and Y positions" rarely works. They are suffering for it now.
Anyone else here find this Mendes bloke fecking annoying?
For a guy for whom we seem to bend over backwards in order to keep happy, he doesn't seem to offer much in return.Anyone else here find this Mendes bloke fecking annoying?
Bale is not enough if De Gea leaves (I don't think he will btw). Ronaldo, or no deal.

I think we'll risk losing him for nothing to be honest, because I don't see us selling in the summer unless a massive fee is submitted. We were prepared to let Rooney's contract run down too.
We can run the risk of keeping him in the hope he'll sign an extension. I think I'd rather keep him the extra year unless Real Madrid make a substantial bid. What's £20 odd million to us anyway? £40 to £50 million and we can talk, lets see how desperate they are.I think that Bayern set a good example with Kroos, they sold him because it was the right thing, they didn't wanted to, but you can't do what Dortmund did with Lewandowski that's stupid.

£40 million for a 'keeper in the final year of his contract is absurd money to be honest. We're a super rich club not needing to sell at all and he's one of the best players we have, being our best performer for the second season running, at least. 40m is a piece of piss. When we are in this position they should either have to make a stupid bid (like they paid for Bale) or get de Gea to cnut us and hand in a transfer request.
No you don't, which is fair enough. I just wouldn't sell to Madrid unless they're prepared to bid stupid money. £20 million isn't much to us.Worth remembering that Neueur cost Bayern <20m. You just don't get the same sort of fee for keepers you get for outfield players.
I've defended the Bale option but to be honest, i wouldn't happy, if we swapped De gea for Bale, only Modric would be a painless swap, since i don't rate Ronaldo that highly.
Now, i hope that we will be able to keep De Gea forever and sign Modric.
