Day 7 | Slovenia vs Serbia | Denmark vs England | Spain vs Italy

And as a surprise to absolutely no one aside from the English pundits, it turns out Southgate isn’t actually that much of a manager.

Mainoo would have been perfect in this game to get forward while Rice sat and provide control.

Too many stupid sideways and backwards balls. Mainoo has the ability to turn and go forwards.

What's worse about this performance is that it's on the BBC so we don't even get the pleasure of listening to an irate Roy Keane.
There should be a rule where Keane is allowed to work for everyone. BBC, ITV, Sky, TNT.

The amount of long balls, feck me Southgate is just ruining a talented squad. If England go out, I wouldn't care now as it means this clueless manager goes.

Southgate has had the best job in football for nearly a decade. He’s been fecking shite for the whole thing but was blessed in 2018 and 2021 with the luck of the draw and an unofficial home tournament.

Southgate ball once again. Go one up, drop deep and do nothing.

Proceed to isolate players with no support, and resort to long balls with 5 minutes left. We look toothless.

If United are stupid enough to appoint Southgate as manager at any point in the future we deserve everything we get. Absolutely atrocious manager.

Oh well, we can watch the tournament stress free without any expectations. As bad as I’ve seen England since Hodgson was in charge (then with a much worse squad).

England being involved in the two worst games of the tournament so far might suggest we’re going to do a Greece and bore our way all the way to the trophy. Greece were a bit better organised though

Garbage from England. Meet an half decent side and we have no plan. 3 years since the last tournaments and yet we still have Southgate trying out experiments. His in game management is absolute shite still as well.

Every game in the round has had excitement at some point until the moment England plays, it feels like so far.

Shocking performance by England. Played off the park by Denmark today who looked a far superior team. Saka played well and a Foden was decent in parts but the rest were poor. Southgate is going to get a lot of stick for this performance.

Southgate tactically was clueless in that game. He left the top scorer on the bench. His in game management was awful.
Sure. You still missed a penalty to send it to extra time. Seriously, you cannot possibly believe that not playing Rashford had a greater impact on the result than missing a freaking penalty. That's my point essentially. Managers can feck up at this level. Most do. Their feck ups very rarely are the main reason why their teams lose. Sometimes they majorly screw up and their teams still win. It's single game elimination generally played by a bunch of knackered dudes running on pride and patriotic fervor more than anything. It's decided by individual episodes
That makes me unhinged?
I apologize. Didn't figure it was offensive

Well this one game of Southgate running Bellingham into the ground and giving him no midfield support is exactly the kind of game where you're showing your unhinged comments, the same way England fans have been for the past 8 years.

It's amusing seeing your frustrations about Bellingham getting potentially injured playing for his country which can be basically replaced with 'insert any other England player/tactics/in game subs/coaching'.
Yes, I'm fully aware of it. I'm about to get x10 more unhinged in an hour too

Best job in football?

Listen to this Citeh cnut defending this shite. Southgate has convinced them this is an acceptable performance.
