Crazy that they're trying to blame these issues on Kane. Midfield is obviously a bigger issue. And the fact that Foden plays better centrally.
Don’t get how a manager can’t tell that his midfield isn’t balanced yet everyone els watching it can. A balanced midfield makes everything work a lot better

It doesn't matter how good the players are, if you have one of these no-tactic coaches you won't win. Southgate, you have to be more than a politician.

There's zero logic in playing Trent in a system that doesn't have a left winger for him to hit diagonals to. Or when Bellingham isn't essentially playing as a second striker.

Gordon/Kane/Saka
or
Foden/Watkins/Saka
Having Kane/Foden/Saka/Jude/Trippier/Walker all wanting the ball played to their feet is why England can never get out of their half after sitting deep. It's fecking idiotic, and is only compounded by TAA being a lost dog in midfield and Rice being unable to make a forward pass

Him coming back into the midfield is a massive issue. It unbalances the whole side.
Rice, Bellingham, Foden is as good a trio as any in the tournament, but you don’t see half of what they do because you have a centre forward and a right back stepping on their toes in the middle of the field.
The whole point of having that right back in the midfield, is to use his wand of a right foot for deliveries over the top. But with Foden named at LW but playing centrally, and Kane back in his own half, there are feck all outlets for Trent to look for.
Alexander Arnold is dogshit in midfield.
