Have enjoyed this opening round but football is in a weird place right now. France the favourites but I don't they are a patch on the Zidane/Henry/Vieria/Pires/Djorkaeff group, and could say the same about Germany, Italy, Spain against some of their teams from the 00's.
He was right to book him but he fecked up by not allowing France to make the sub when the ball was out. He's incompetent.

This game has been played at a much higher tempo than any other game so far.
France have been so-so, but you can see how quickly they can go through the gears in patches. That, coupled with their defence and rock solid midfield, make them so formidable.

The finishing in this game is the most consistently limp-dicked affair I've seen in a while.
