Day 4 | Romania Vs Ukraine | Belgium vs Slovakia | Austria vs France

You watch France play and you can understand what Southgate is aiming for with England. France will stroll to the latter stages and probably end up winning it despite looking pretty bog standard.

Main difference being Deschamps is a better manager and has a better squad to work with.

She's been quite good and clear at explaining I've thought, it's not her fault how the rules have to be interpreted. I'd certainly rather have her to explain than Dermot fecking Gallacher.

At least she is concise.

Southgate said that he is a big admirer of Deschamps

What's this? Do you have someone explaining every big decision or what?
Christina Unkel I think it is? Some American former referee. Apparently she does a lot of work on the American channels normally.

Not really sure why they've went for a yank over any UK refs, just seems like they're trying to be different for the sake of it.

She's not great. Her Americanisms don't cut it.

Fair play to the Austrian goalie for yelling for the ref to call in the medics while Austria had a potential huge chance.

What is this referee up to? Allowing France complaints to stop an Austria attack

France have been average but Kante has probably been the best player of the opening round.

I'd love if it Mbappe goes ahead and picks up a suspension later in the tournament because of that. Embarrassing.

Spain has the worst referees out of all the big European nations. Will not budge on this.
