Day 4 | Romania Vs Ukraine | Belgium vs Slovakia | Austria vs France

Apart from Germany none of the big teams have come bursting out the gates. A lot of poor finishing in this first round of matches.

Has anyone ever seen Kolo Muani do anything? Perhaps PSG fans? Because I haven't.

Definitely expecting Austria to beat Poland. Interesting to see which of Austria or Netherlands get 2nd

Austria gave a good account . France will take some beating . They do enough , nothing more .

Deserved win for France as they created a lot more than us. Unfortunately our lack of quality in the final third let us down. On another day, Baumgartner scores and we might get a point. Overall, a pretty decent game from us with nothing to show for as usual. Nevermind.

Kante, Hernandez and the ref all absolutely outstanding for France. Not many others stood out.

Austria look a very tough side to break down, but just lacking that bit of cutting edge up top. You'd expect them to finish second though.

Austria so well drilled and full of willing players. The polar opposite of how players performed under Rangnick at United and to be honest its him that comes out looking better

Ob the other hand all big teams (Germany, Spain, Italy, England France, Holland) have won their opening matches

Certainly the worst reffing in tournament so far

He was right to book him but he fecked up by not allowing France to make the sub when the ball was out. He's incompetent.
Nah. 4th official clearly communicated to him that France had not asked for the sub in time. So once againt the complaint in this thread comes from the lack of knowledge how the refereeing teams work.

Did Germany really do anything special though? It was only Scotland after all. I think anyone would have battered Scotland by a few goals.

I always find the first matches kinda cagey anyway, nobody wants to be chasing from 0 points.

France would be best team if they only learned what team effort is. Lot if individual players.

Deschamps is not a particulary good coach, despite results looking good on paper.

Far and away the highest quality game of the tournament thus far. Austria very good and France very sharp and rock solid. Think Arnautovic and Wimmer should have started the game as they completely changed the tempo for Austria when they came on. Kante and Hernandez were absolutely ridiculous for France. All in all, very enjoyable match and safe to say France have earned their favourites tag.

I wouldn't say they are clea favourites. Defo the fastest though.

Bit one dimensional in attack I would think, when it works they will kill teams in transition but deny them that and they will be hoping for Mbappe or notoriously erratic Dembele to pull something out.

Austria are a proper team really. A shame they don't have a good winger or striker. France looked marginally better than England yesterday.

Safe to say we will win this group with 9 points. These two teams are shite. Wout will brutalise these pantsies.

France are often a tough watch like this to be fair but it works for them. They're rock solid at the back and lethal on the transition.

Good effort from Austria but didn't look like scoring in a million years.

The France classic, they do the job, but at times you wonder why they play the way they play.
