England have done what they were instructed to do. Kept it tight, hit a few long balls into wide areas and attack a few set pieces. No clear chances created. They need someone to make some quick decisions in midfield to hurt the Germans. Phillips is too aggressive and a red card waiting to happen. He needs to be subbed at half time.

England need DCL or Rashford on for Kane, Grealish and Sancho on for Trippier and Saka and I think they'd win it. They need to go for it though.
I'm at the game and I wish I was at one of yesterday's instead. Kane has been awful, dropping far too deep again and watching from the sides Shaw is reluctant to go forward down the left flank in the space Sterling is leaving by cutting in. Phillips and Rice are liabilities and don't want to come forward with the ball. I'd bring Henderson and another attacker on and change to a 4-3-3 formation.
We've got such a massive opportunity to win this, and I've got a horrible feeling we're going to left feeling what if what we'd actually played with some bollocks for once.

Because evry time he gets the ball there are two or three black shirts in front of him, Sterling is not moving the Germans around to create space. If you watch, he's just standing there, doing nothing. At least Trippier has Saka moving around a lot over on the right.
