Day 17: England vs Germany | Sweden vs Ukraine (Ro16 7&8)

Am I the only one who thought Goretzka bought it a bit by stepping across Rice's line?

It seems weird that, if you are playing for set pieces, why you wouldn't bring one of the best in the world at it.

The German attacker put his right foot in front of defender to get him sent off - cheating fecker.

This german team is so bad I think Englad can pull a 1-0 even with just 3 attacking players.

There's zero press from the Germans. I think they want Walker and Maguire to run out with it and leave gaps.

Am I the only one who thought Goretzka bought it a bit by stepping across Rice's line?

He 100% did, he knew he was to his right and threw his leg out instead of shooting. Anyone who can't see that is clearly biased.

We look like a shit team but it's the formation and selection that is doing it.

We have some incredible attacking talent they are just on the bench!

Would love to see us be a proactive, attacking team

Why is this England team so negative, surely Southgate can choose more attacking players and give them a free run. England attackers are actually capable of hurting this German side, Rashford, Sancho, Grealish etc. Southgate is just so negative in his tactics.

Graham Taylor?

It's silly. Mourinho was right on one thing. A national team manager simply lack the time to impose his ideas on the team. Therefore he has to make due with what he has. 3-5-2 is as English as Chianti or parmeggiano Reggiano are

Caught a man through on goal with a clear foul, perhaps? Very lucky man.

He wasn't really all that clear as he was being caught from the other two comfortably too... Goretzka also worked his way into the tackle too. I'm just not having it. It was soft as feck.

Slbahead at least keeping his header on target....surprised he's that wide open though

World class save from Neur. England is playing on the counter and try to score a goal from set-pieces.

I see Maguire still can't score from corners. Good thing it's not a United problem only.
