Day 17: England vs Germany | Sweden vs Ukraine (Ro16 7&8)

People are frothing over Saka because he’s the only player driving forward with the ball. The number of players we possess that can do that and we have q on the field and the rest are static.

Goretzka through on goal with Rice hanging off his back pulling him. That was a goal scoring opportunity to me.

Absolutely. If that wasn’t a goal scoring opportunity then the term needs to be stricken from football lexicon.

Saka was born five days after England won 5-1 in Munich. I'm so old.

Release it quicker Sterling, man

He wasn't really all that clear as he was being caught from the other two comfortably too... Goretzka also worked his way into the tackle too. I'm just not having it. It was soft as feck.
Which is why it was only a yellow probably. He also didn’t really buy it, he wanted to shoot and got caught in his motion from behind imo.

I think that I want to see England celebrate a trophy.

Phillips needs to calm down, will be booked in five minutes.

Philips ain't too bad but Rice seems to be chasing shadows, too easily bypassed.

Kane should drop deeper, no point playing as target man when you arent getting any service at all.

Come'on, Dwazza, we're all biased if we do not see it England's way. Apparently.

 I don't think it was a red. Fouls like that happen. I clattered a lot of people from behind in my day simply because I was faster than they were.

Shaw has nothing to work off on the left with Sterling constantly being in the middle. Gives us zero threat from the left

I'd rather see DCL on than kane to be honest. He at least has workrate.

Ideally, I'd stick rashford at CF. Not his best position, way out of form, but his pace alone, and the threat of it, would be more helpful to England than anything kane can muster at this point.

Oh you naughty boy :D

I meant that Oranje must have missed another tournament since 2002.
No Im quite sure we won all tournaments between 2002 and 2021. We're the only nation to play the game properly after all. Just ask Ajax.

Germany's midfield seems nonexistent too. Seems neither team is intent on using the middle but overloading the wide areas. They are cancelling eachother out.
