I'm pretty sure it is done, but who knows how long it will take until it's official, with all the agent problems. Not good for one's confidence. It's the one signing we should have nailed one minute after the season ends.

Good, because I've had a hard on for 3 weeks.

Hasnt De Gea said he'll discuss his future after the under-21 tournament?

Translation: "I will finally announce that I'm a United player after the under-21s so I don't piss off Athletico fans....and also because my new agent told me to"

With the U21 squad

I think it seems to be generally accpeted that De Gea's deal was brokered by Jorge Mendes, who doesn't become De Gea's agent until the 1st June, or something like that, so it will be announced once he gets rid of his old agent and signs with Mendes, I'd guess.

You realise it's now June 6th, right?

Yep.

Although July 1st, not June.

I can't believe we wouldn't have had a deal in place for a goalkeeper by now, we've been looking for a while and knowing we needed one this summer for months. So I tend to believe the end-of-june-end-of-contract-with-old-agent-mendes-comes-in-the-deal-is-official thing.

I feel like such a wally; I prematurely welcomed him to Manchester on twitter when he was (un)'announced' a few weeks back. I hope he didn't read it and remember my name; I'm sure he'll never let me live it down if he does eventually sign.

No offers will be considered, propably until June 30 after the European Under-21 Championship.

He got stuff to do.

It's shocking

If he decides to stay there, we're in July without a GK.

I hope that is already a done deal, otherwise it would be something of ridiculous.

He'd better sign. I've spent the last 3 months learning how to pronounce his bloody name...

Fergie wouldn't have mentioned him by name at Nevilles testimonial if this wasn't 100% a done deal.

Apparently Kuszczaks request to be put on a transfer list was rejected by United. He said that the ckub did not want to let him go.

Probably let him go in Jan instead of having to bed in 2 keepers at once. Lindegaard's injury meant he didnt have much time to settle into our football, should be fine after half a season

Or we might loan out Lindegaard for 6 months or the entire season.. Unlikely, but possible nonetheless..

He broke his finger

Everyone's favorite Spaniard-in-the-know named him La Liga's goalkeeper of the year.

Goalkeeper: DAVID DE GEA

No 1 on the team-sheet: superb temperament and a calm, assuring presence
Britain will become quite familiar with David de Gea over the next few years. He's still very young for a goalkeeper but on the verge of making an impact. He's risen to prominence very quickly and despite his relative inexperience, de Gea has impressed with his superb temperament and calm, assuring presence at the back. Terrific reflexes and outstanding shot stopping prowess are what have caught the eye of Manchester United and his performances this season have helped give Atletico confidence and composure at the back, something of a rarity for them. His inexperience shows in his occasional inconsistency, but patience with him should mean that United have got themselves a top keeper for many years to come.

I'd rather see OShea playing as keeper then him.

I would have preferred us to get Loris, due to De Gea's age.

But Lloris is nowhere near DDG's quality despite Lloris being his senior by almost 3-4 years iirc.. He flaps on crosses, makes more mistakes etc.. I am super happy we are getting DDG and nobody else..
