Had almost nothing to the entire first half, but when he was forced to...my god what a save! That's the sign of a quality composed keeper

He looks pretty damn good for a 20 year old. Please god we actually sign him sooner rather than later.

If you build it, he will come.

This is the way he always is when I have seen him play for Atletico. Looks to have all the necessary qualities. Any young keeper is a risk. But he is well worth that risk IMO

I wanted him to get more of a test tonight, but he did very well whenever he saw action.

The resemblance to Van der Sar is uncanny. I see that same concentration, composure and quick reflexes in him. Wrap up the transfer ASAP.

I suppose that is a good thing that he didn't have much to do but what he did do he did well...that is what will happen at man utd

The thing that pleased me last night was that de gea remained focused and still did his job when needed despite having very little to do for long spells during the game.
This bodes well, as he will no doubt be in the same situation here.

Sky were commentating yesterday as if they knew it was a done deal

It seems everyone knows it's a done deal - but somehow people forgot to tell de Gea

Obviously De Gea knows, the reasons for him not confirming have been posted many times in this thread.

What chance the deal doesn't go through?

Look at how the Jones deal is dragging on - our cleanest bit of business was when we signed Hernandez.

The chances of this deal not being completed are virtually nil.

How often do we see Fergie announcing a deal on the club website before it's completed.

Agreed. Although some morons will now point out the Mikel transfer example.

I think so too. We just wait after the U21 tournament to announce it probably was his wish

Indeed, and a poor example too considering that deal was complete.

Yes fairly different circumstances to this one. Someone also gave the example of Ljajic deal in relation to this.

I think in fairness we can expect a small percentage of transfers or possible transfers to go belly up where Utd are concerned simply because it's Utd.I don't think it's always our fault though we have had our fair share of embarrassing moments, the Ramsey and Ljajic deals spring to mind. By and large Utd do conduct themselves well.

I don't think it has anything to do with that.

I think it seems to be generally accepted that De Gea's deal was brokered by Jorge Mendes, who doesn't become De Gea's agent until the 1st July, or something like that, so it will be announced once he gets rid of his old agent and signs with Mendes, I'd guess.

Why is he changing agents?

Because Mendes is the most influential agent in Europe atm...Ronaldo, Mourinho, Nani, Pepe, and a wave of other top Spanish/Brazilian/Portuguese talent are among his clients. Makes sense as a young player who wants to get the best he can from the game to sign up with the best agent I guess.

Why is the sky blue?

The sunlit sky is blue because air scatters short-wavelength light more than longer wavelengths. Since blue light is at the short wavelength end of the visible spectrum, it is more strongly scattered in the atmosphere than long wavelength red light. The result is that the human eye perceives blue when looking toward parts of the sky other than the sun.

Yes but does it have an agent?
