That Youtube compilation doesn't show the features needed for a United goalkeeper that much. All I can see is that he's a brilliant shot stopper and seems to have some secure hands.
However, anybody here seen him play enough? What is his temperament like? Concentration? And distribution with ball at feet? 3 very important characteristics needed for a United goalkeeper. Also does he command his area? In other words, when a cross comes in is he decisive in his action or Gomes like?

That's because competition in England is far stronger then it has been in Spain....the titles have been spread out. You have clubs that have won european cups not even in the premiership. In addition to that, the spainish clubs always had it easy bringing in the best south Americans etc..That was an advatange as it's such an influencial market.
THEN when you are given money, helped, allowed to openly tap up at election time...it's all abit of a joke.

I think people are simplifying it too much. At the end of the day, De Gea is capable of independent thought so it's not written what he'll think but I doubt he'd be tempted by Madrid.

My biggest worry is that he will be unsettled, his first move from Spain and you never know how people react. If he enyoy Manchester and settle in well, we don't need to worry about another goalkeeper for many years.
