I'm sticking with da-veed de gay-er.
Me too.

Yes I think it is a bit. Arabic has three h-like sounds so it depends which one you mean. According to Wikipedia their /x/ varies quite a lot between dialects as to how far or back it's pronounced.

Hebrew's got the same H sound.
I'm sticking with da-veed de hay-a.
I think I've got the deep-throat bit sorted.
I'm going to pretend its pronounced
Man-uel Noi-errrr
I could never get that v/b bit right though, I could never merge them together in the way you're meant to. In the sense that I don't think -veed or -beed is completely right, but I can't find an in between! Definitely closer to -veed though. I think I've got the deep-throat bit sorted.
I'm not usually one to find shitty innuendos funny, but I had to pounce on this.
"Oooh matron." etc.
So I think this is right but I'm a bit rusty... click links for sound files.
Hebrew used to have the full range of back consonants you get in modern Arabic, but it's merged a lot of them under the influence of European speakers. So /x/ (chaf) and /ħ/ (het) are both now /χ/, which is not far from the Spanish one, and they also retain the glottal /h/ and glottal stop (aleph) like in English. Only the Mizrahi and a few old-school speakers now use the way-back, pharyngeal /ʕ/ (ayin) and /ħ/ (het).

Davide Pleat is gonna have some fun with this one.
Looks like a 'done deal' to me!
“Edwin decided he wants to go out at the top, though he did have a wobble last week,” said Ferguson. “He came to see me and told me he was thinking about changing his mind. I had to tell him to be quick about it because we are in the middle of concluding a deal for a new keeper. He came back a couple of days later to say he would be sticking with his original decision to go, which I think at his age is the right thing for him to do.”
