You're right IIRC, he had some good cameo moments in his first PL game but we went on to win it quite handily, Scholes scoring another cracker.
He did make our defence look a bit stupid but that was the measure of the lad and I'm sure it convinced SAF to make a move for him after the Euros
Guillem Balague has just stated on the live Spanish game that De Gea is a done deal between the clubs with a fee and all other things having been decided.

I don't think Ferguson trusts Berbatov enough in the biggest of games and in games like yesterday, I think he would like to have all of his strikers that he can trust in any game

There are more factors than just the quality of the football team to consider when seeking a transfer which a lot of fans don't seem to take into consideration.
