Credit where it’s due but that was vintage DDG. Immense saves to keep us in the game
Two good saves, couple of punches that should of been catches and distinctly average distribution.
Credit where credits due the two saves in the first half were massive for us today and he should take plaudits for it.
Yeah what a terrible old fashioned not progressive enough GK performance.his 2 world class saves outweighted his poor distributions/reluctance of coming out in crosses tonight
Whilst I agree with you, going the other way average shot stopping and claiming the ball has us possibly getting points in other games?"You just need average level shot stopping, other areas are more important in the modern days"
"DDG old fashioned keeper"
Right. Average shot stopping today would've conceded both goals today and we would have lost that one.
Yeah what a terrible old fashioned not progressive enough GK performance.
I don't think anybody realistically expects that. I want a better all around keeper. He won't make every save that De Gea makes, but he will be better during the build up, deal with crosses, and play more proactively in 1v1's.Some fans seem to have invented this fantasy goalkeeper we could replace him with, who will play "modern" football whilst also making all the saves De Gea does, and all the ones he doesn't make as well and making no errors in the process. This goalkeeper doesn't exist, and I think we'll find that out when we have to replace him.
