posted from my freaking phone
really good performance from the lad.
2 moments stood out as a sign of his potential;
-How quick he got across the goal for the Ramires shot
-when torres' bobbling shot came back off him, just how quick he got up and set for the next shot.
He is one agile man. He doesn't seem overly tall compared to other top goalkeepers (I'd say 6'2") so this quickness and agility will be important.
Edit: its also great to see him shouting at the defenders![/QUOTE]
i noticed that he only shouts "hey" if there is something that he doesnt like. But he doesnt go beyond that yet. Once he is full of confidence and speaks better english, he might be much more vocal and gives them a right bollocking so they wake up
So, what do we think about the prospect of him playing Stoke on the weekend, given their physical play, throw ins etc.?

Obviously I'd like him to play, and play a blinder to dispel this idea that he's a bit weak under the high ball, but I'd understand anybody calling for Lindegaard to play this one.
Why? - How many know how Lindegaard will perform under an aerial barrage. Remember, he doesn't have much Premier League experience, and certainly not the Stoke-away kind.
De Gea will play, and personally I'm expecting a few ropey moments, but that's the only way he'll learn. We can't shelter him, and he's the present and future of the club.
What about number of shots on goal? Number of shots for me doesn't mean much. Look at the Spurs game Van Der Vaart pretty much shot whenever he got the ball from wherever he is. How many of those were actually a decent effort though? From Zonal Marking.
United conceded 22 shots here [Chelsea], 22 at Bolton, 20 against Arsenal, 21 against Tottenham and 16 against West Brom. These are surprisingly high figures (they’ve allowed more shots than any other Premier League team) – the question is whether this is because of defensive slackness, or because opponents are overly-keen to test David De Gea.
Heres another quite amazing David De Gea stat.
De Gea saves so far = 28
VDS saves made last season = 81
De Gea has made 35% of the total number of saves VDS made last season. We are playing a more open game.

I don't see any reason to turn to our Dane for the Stoke game.
People better prepare themselves for him to look a bit shaky during Stoke's throw ins. He's probably never seen anything like it before. I remember Vds being caught out a few times with them as well so lets not go overboard if that happens.

I've got complete faith in him. United will have him prepared for this game by showing him videos etc and telling him what to expect. We don't need to panic. Also withe the way we are playing at the moment, Stoke need to get the ball off us and get up the pitch which won't be easy for them.This. It will be tough and it's going to be a serious learning curve for him. The best have struggled to cope with that Delap throw. We need to Rio in there to take the lead and clear the ball without him having to come for it. But when he comes, he needs to come with conviction and not be unsure. I expect a few nervy moments but it can only be good for him in the long run.
Why you ask these questions. You are just looking for stupid little things...any news of SAF dropping him for this game (Stoke)?

Do you think Ben Amos has given him a selection dilemma ahead of the Stoke match at the weekend?
Not at all. David de Gea will play on Saturday. That’s the understanding they had before the game and it doesn’t change.
and i think in my previous post were just (changed) quotes from that kelly cates' interview with sir alex...
