I really hope that United continue to guide and mentor DDG (as SAF APPEARS to be doing) rather than adding doubt in his mind by buying in another goalkeeper.
Lindegaard is perfectly adequate as a backup. I just think the goalkeeper position is not really one where you play off one against another for the sake of competition.

Nothing from saf or Eric Steele or anybody of note has suggest anything but full trust in DDG, and I expect him to be our number 1 for many years.

I think the fact that he also played the fa cup match shows fergie is trying to show the press that he is number 1. Usually we rotate and give lindegaard a game. If we truelly didn't want him anymore and were selling him on in the summer why don't we play lindegaard more?. It's all hashed up Press b.s, and I personally think he has now weathered the storm, and barring any major howlers I think they wil lay off him now.

Got a feeling in a few years we will look back at this and seriously Lol
 
More lazy journalism on De Gea...

He has been in very good form this season, he has improved massively since he arrived, and Fergie thinks an awful lot of this kid. So why do the papers insist on writing things like this?

Good, about time I start earning some dream team clean sheet points from him.

On a side note, of course having these clean sheets is great for his confidence.

Three clean sheets in a row in the premier league. Nice confidence boosters. Absolutely thrilled he is getting these sort of easy games in every now and then.
 
Solid save off the Remy shot. Don't think he really had anything else to do all game. Happy for him to keep another clean sheet. One step closer to the big one, the golden gloves.
 
2 good saves imo. But yeah not his busiest day. Reina and Valdes have won golden gloves for 90% games like these.
 
Great to hear the fans singing his name as well. Knowing that we back him will only help his confidence, whether the media back him or not. Saying that, after the Madrid game the media seem to be off his case for now anyway.
 
He had very little to do in the game and had to keep himself concentrated in krder to save a couple of dangerous shots. He kept his concentration throughout the entire game, the signs of a great keeper.

Remy save was expected but the Samba one was very good. That would have squeaked past most keepers I think

Made a great save today. To be fair he didn't have much to do but loved his celebration when Giggs scored the 2nd. I think the return of Vidic has really helped him alot.

Bloody hell. Fair play to him although that was to be expected, he was still a kid when he joined and they were always going to make sure he filled out.

Pretty impressive, although the clothing doubles the effect. Under that loose t-shirt in the first pic he could easily be not that far off the physique shown off by the lycras in the second pic.
 
Definitely wider chest, and bigger upper arms (deltoids) part. Very sexy indeed. If it makes any difference by saying this: no homo.
