Asked about interest from Barcelona.
"I'm in Manchester. I have a contract with them - it's my club."

Not the most convincing reply.

Really hope he stays. This fella could turn around and boot the ball into his own net and I'd still have faith in him.

He's basically said 'I am contracted to Manchester United, it's my club so that leaves Barcelona out of the equation' so what else would you want him to say?

That he's happy and doesn't want to leave?

Oh, no, that would be outrageous!

If he tries a few more like that one last night you won't have to wait long ;)

 It was a decent save Plech.

What I got was that it's the contract keeping him here, not the fact he'd rather play for us than for Barca. And since when do contracts mean anything?

Yeah understood, I really hope he isn't linked to every team every summer like some players are in this day and age.

Thing is, he never was made villain except by some idiot pundits (and some ignorant caftards). The majority always knew he was talented and pretty good already

The media focused on his mistake that led to the Spurs equalizer, but conveniently ignored 2-3 outstanding saves from Bale, Defoe, Dempsey up to that point that kept us in the lead.

We'll be safe with De Gea. Barca will have to pay through the roof to get him, and there's certainly other options out there for them.

Total eclipse of the heart:

De Gea's gonna start tonight
He'll save with his left or his right
Once upon a time he was losing the gloves
But now he looks the part
There's nothing he can't do
He totally shits on Joe Hart

Khan is just trying to get some help with his agility.

Dave the cat slips like no over!

Getting some help with his punching. :p

That solves the height question.

Kahn is 5'10".

The average human head is 9 inches tall. De Gea's head is probably about 15 inches tall and he's half a head taller than Kahn meaning De Gea is about 6'5".

Nah, it was a somewhat bizarre save. If you can use your hands you should, especially when the ball's at waist height. You just have more control that way.

It was, I think like in cricket he was deceived by the 'slowerball' nature of the scuffy strike. My view on it is that he thought he was already leaning far into the net and instinctively looked to stay as low as he could with his body but still not go to far into the net and possibly into the post.

Leg came up and boom. Knocked it away. The telling part was that in the slowmo from behind the goal he clearly looks up sheepishly around at all corners of the net looking for the ball thinking he'd turned it in.

I honestly don't think he knew much about it at all but instinctive saves are often the most fantastic.

That's literally it when I was a keeper back in the day I'd often have thrown literally any part of my body in the way of the ball. No matter how unconventional it may have looked the aim is to keep that spherical object from going past you into the goal.

Spastic looking save but if that kind of thing means keeping clean sheets and holding off the likes of Madrid in their own back yard for a draw then so be it.

I was woeful. Had a good 35 minutes under a bit of pressure and made a couple of reflex saves then an old lad cut to the byline and hit one narrowly across me into the far corner a really tight strike. Knocked the confidence right out of me.

Rushed out at one stage and put my arms up to let a ball 'fly wide' and turned to see I'd rushed to far left and the ball gormlessly rolled in.

That is the hardest part for me, knowing where your goalmouth is.

Whilst a top keeper, some people still have doubts over David De Gea when it comes to aerial balls in his box.

Well he should have no more problems, after linking up with British boxing star Amir Khan to work on his punching!

Wouldn't want to be on the end of a De Gea right hand

Phil Parks is talking to Keys and Gray on talksport now. They asked him who his favoourite keepers (in England) are, and his reply was something like:

"Joe Hart is a great prospect. He's been unlucky because every game is recorded from loads of angles. But it's a double-edged sword as he can analyse his mistakes and improve. Reina, Pepe Reina. I've always liked liked him. He's been unlucky not to get more caps for Spain because of Casillas, but he's a great keeper. De Gea. No, I don't like him, I mean if he was put under any kind of pressure..."

He then goes on to say that the best keepers shouldn't have to make brilliant saves and they should make it look easy or some other bollocks.

Seeing as the most memorable thing about Phil Parks is his moustache, I think I'll disregard his expert opinion.

Keys is probably just grateful to have signed-off JSA, mate.

I like how Hart suffers from cameras watching him from all angles but he can learn from that  think that is the case for every keeper in the league. Seems like a nce way of saying he is messing up lots but I don't want to focus on that
