I fecking love this kid. Wouldn't swap him for anyone.

Looking at this closely again, he doesn't see this ball until it's past Ozil, giving him just hundredths of a second to react, yet he still gets down and tips it to safety.

What a fantastic save.

I tell you what, just seeing that again, that is one of the great saves.

Its beyond ridiculous. He doesn't even see it until its past Ozil.

What a fecking performance. One of the best goalkeeping performances I've seen. Some of those saves were unreal. Should make all the haters shut the feck up. Man of the match. 10/10 rating.

Sensational performance from De Gea today, he made several vital saves that secured the good result.

I'm running out of words to describe David De Gea.

With all due respect to Joe Hart, had Hart been in goal for us today Real would have beaten us 3 or maybe even 4-1.

Unreal tonight.

The save with hit right foot was hilarious, there was no logical explanation for him using his foot instead of his hand, but hey, it worked.

That 1st save was phenomenal - as people have said he didn't see it or move until it was past Ozil - fantastic performance and great to see some people giving credit where its due finally.

Jamie getting on the De Gea bandwagon. fecking shameless cnut.

He was good. Am I the only one that thinks that? Most bread and butter saves IMHO, apart from that save with his legs. Anyways rather shitloads of undue praise on him than flack I guess.

Do we know if he ever played handball? That was a good as any I've seen from Gentzel or Omeyer. :D

Redknapp is a right cheeky bastard. Just said "that young man has been slaughtered by pretty much everybody. People questioned if he was good enough at this level".

You being one of the worst, you cnut. feck off Jamie, literally.

I might be wrong but it seemed to me that he'd started to shift his upper body weight the other way, so trying to dive for it with his hands would have taken too long. It was fantastic improvisation.

The naysayers now acting as if De Gea has never had a good game before. Personally I think De Gea's been very good all season. That Monday night at Goodison on the opening weekend of the Premier League we would have been humiliated if not for the many saves De Gea made that day but somehow, someway performances like that get forgotten because the press have decided that he 'has a mistake in him' and similar tired cliches. We've been seeing what De Gea produced for much of this season e.g. the reaction stops at Wastelands but too many people have been too busy praising Joe Hart for nowt to notice.

Yeah, the replay from the other side showed that he was very unlikely to get save that with his hands.

I may have replied on this point already, but it really did look as though De Gea couldn't get there in time with his hands. To have the presence, and ability - and confidence -- to use his feet in that situation is extraordinary.

Seriously, tonight's performance by De Gea was one of the greatest we will ever see in our lifetimes. And I plan to be here for another 40 years.

That save that he put onto the post, was the best save I've ever seen live.

That ending on Sky Sports... now he's loved by English media...

Never much doubt that he would excel in Spain. Lets hope it doesn't make him homesick.

I didnt even doubt De Gea making that amazing save for one moment. He's made so many great saves for us already that I just knew he had a good chance to stop it. He's that good a shot stopper

Aww..didn't he deserve that performance? :D What a great man. After all the shite that's come his way, he goes and puts in a display like that at the Bernabeu.

Top player with amazing mental strength.
