I love that we have Fergie. He sticks by his talent. A lesser manager would have buckled under media pressure.

He is going to be tested like crazy tonight. Shots are going to be flying at him from every angle. This is his biggest chance yet to silence his stupid fecking critics.

Yeah, bu he's a great shotstopper. He can play an absolute blinder tonight and some will say that it just shows how well suited he is to the Spanish game.

He's played them before, so he'll know what to expect.

Fergie mentioned that some of the wobbles at the start were down to not being able to speak the language. Can he speak English now? I've seen him post English tweets but I assumed those were from Google translate.

I've not seen an interview of him speaking in English but he said in a newspaper interview at the end of last season that he can understand most things but finds it harder to speak. I imagine since then he's improved on the speaking side of things.

Glad to see fergie defending him in person now.

Perhaps the journalists will finally lay off and get the message - he is our number 1 and here to stay.

Schmeichel is correct to say the defence isn't helping in some of the 'errors'. The Southampton one being a prime example.

It's interesting that whilst Peter was analysing De Gea, Jamie who is quick to criticise DDG didn't say a word. fecking cnut.

I fecking love this kid. Wouldn't swap him for anyone.

Looking at this closely again, he doesn't see this ball until it's past Ozil, giving him just hundredths of a second to react, yet he still gets down and tips it to safety.

What a fantastic save.

If hear, 'aaah but its not his shot stopping that's in question' just after a fantastic save, one more time.... Jez, I wish the commentators would at least give credit where credit is due.

Brilliant save DDG. <end of>

The lad is saving our asses time and time again in the big games this season but the press feels it's more important to concentrate on him dropping the ball every now and than or getting into an unlucky situation yet Hart can do no wrong despite having at least the same amount of blunders if not more than DDG.

Utterly bizarre.

Looks like that is the game where the media perception of him will change, they are finally giving him his due.

Absolutely superb.

The save from Coentrao in the first half was incredible, the other saves were brilliant.

Magnificent performance which will hopefully get noticed in the press and ignored by the Barcelona/Real hierarchy.

Excellent game with some great saves too. Very pleased to see him have a performance like this in such a big game too. Can only do his confidence good.

What a save. They showed it 3 or 4 times on TV but it was too quick for me to see the touch DDG got on it. Unbelievable save.

A massive "feck you" from De Gea that game. Showed the world what a fantastic goalkeeper he is - if it wasn't for him, we would have lost that one.

Thrilled we have him, thrilled I was never on his back. Believe in David!

Outstanding performance, just outstanding. feck the media. And feck you Mr 'Average keeper' Redknapp.

Average indeed. feck me.

Best performance in a Manchester United shirt.
