He had a great game, nothing he could do for either of the goals and looked really solid from crosses.
He is worth the mistakes. Definitely.

DDG might make the odd mistake every now and again in the past which looks bad. Then you have for example Lindegaard not making many mistakes so looks good.
The cold hard truth though, is that DDG makes saves Lindegaard couldn't even dream of.
And that, my friends, is what makes a world class goal keeper. His mistakes will iron out, he is already better at commanding his areas and crosses. He needs to keep playing.
If Lindegaard was playing today we could have let 4-5 goals in, but he wouldn't have looked bad and the ones he let in would be considered fair or unstopable. They aren't unstopable when you have someone who's fantastic at shot stopping in goal though.

Too early to call him a big game player? Seems to respond awfully well to big occasions.
Neither goals were his fault, in fact I felt sorry how poor the defense was in marking Zabaleta for their second goal. Great game today!
That shoulder save (was it at 1-2 or 2-2?) was just awesome.

I think the constant chopping in changing in goal was the main reason for that. Just a bit unsure what to do. Play him consistently and he'd deal with that.

Stick with him now. We need to end this rotating goalkeepers we had the option of buying experience or youth, we chose youth so we should stick with the decision. Thought he was alot better on crosses today, I don't think there's that much between the two on crosses anyway but De Gea brings the world class saves so it should be him who plays every match.

I just hope Fergie plays him in all our matches from now...he was truly good today and the save he pulled ogg from Silva was unbelievable.
I think the big improvment that he's a lot more decisive in the air. It's good to see him coming from deep to claim balls hung in the air and committing himself to punches. It was very disconcerting - I imagine moreso for the defence - to see him doing an awkward shuffle forward and then back to his line and do nothing of anything, at points last season.
His reflexes are not natural. Looked far better than the worlds number one today....

Thought he was brilliant today. He's never going to be Schmeichel coming out but he picked the time to come off his line to perfection and got there every time he did.
Has anyone considered that the rotation and taking him out of the firing line actually helps him? That Alex Ferguson might know what he's doing? As has been said he responds well to being 'rested' and coming back in. He's young, he's got plenty of time.
