Here we go. The main event. Come on Mighty Mike, do him. Over 100 average for both here I'm thinking.
 
That checkout. feck me. There's Lewis ready to make it 2-2 and be throwing for the set to make it 3-1 and MvG just takes out 154 and it's 4-0. MvG is some sort of darts robot with a laser beam on the doubles. He just doesn't miss.
 
Genuinely was one of the greatest performances if not the best I have ever seen. Ok, so taylor has probably played better at some point but MVGs scoring and finishing was absolutely absurd. Lewis was averaging over 100 but was totally annihilated. MVG is a phenomenon
 
It's so exciting to see a player come along with this much talent. He can be the best ever and will be if he carries on.
 
The final won't be half as good. Wright will slow it down as much as possible. I hope MVG maintains his concentration and buries him.
 
Brilliant from MVG but thought the semis were a bit disappointing. Hope Wright can keep up his 100+ average for the final and make a real match of it.

Taylor will be the best ever until the end of time. Nobody will ever win more and be more dominant than him. MvG needs to dominate for 20 years to be ranked with the Power. He might do it, we never know.
 
I doubt he will with the money involved now attracting so many more players who are very dedicated. The standard will just keep rising but you would think that with his talent MVG could easily get close to or surpass Barney's achievements.

I dunno, Taylor is the benchmark and has been for 20 years. He will take some beating. But some of the stuff I've seen MVG pull off...He's not on another level yet but the potential is scary.
 
Van gerwen will struggle to break Wright, if Peter plays as he has. 12 dart legs will have to be the norm. I expect a 7-4/5 win for MVG though.
 
If you were to draw a face on a sperm cell it would look exactly like MVG, don't you think? I think he is not only an excellent darts player but also a very strong swimmer.
