He's not good enough for United but still a decent player for the Premier League. I feel sorry for the lad, he's a United kid and has been treated badly by some of the fans, it must hurt. That Twitter debacle was painful to witness. He's done his best for the club, hopefully he gets a move and has a successful career. A transfer is best for everyone, especially him.
After watching how positive, nimble and attack minded Cleverely was I don't think Gibbo will even get a single game this season. He really should press for a transfer as there are teams out there who can use a solid midfielder.
Look at Ben Foster career after he left us (doing alright). Some players just aren't cut out for the mighty red shirt. No shame in that.
Bolton should get him, although with their finances screwed, I don't see them buying him.

Muamba, Holden, Davies, Reo-Coker, Pratley and Eagles. I'd say they're fine in that area.
Would love to see him succeed even though it is obviously not going to be in Utd.
i think it depends on whether we bring someone in...So, no news then?

can't see him leaving if we don't sign someone else - would leave us too short
I think Pogba was ahead of him in the pecking order to go to the States because Gibson's transfer to Sunderland was still possible and he was waiting for their offer that, unfortunately for him, never came...

"If he had been Spanish then maybe he would have been valued more."Gibbo could have a successful career in the Prem or abroad. Wish him the best wherever he plays this year.
It could be the case that he wants to wait until next season and leave on a free. If that were the case he might be able to command £30-40k a week.
In all fairness I can see Fergie letting him leave on a free this season, it would save a mil or two in wages and free up a squad place.
Jesus, Mother of God
Did Gibson get registered to play in PL by United?
It's an admittedly complicated family set-up, what with the two fathers and the ghost guy, but that's definitely wrong.
I thought it was his wage demands?
there were threads about this
Sunderland changed their offer after agreeing something different
Gibbo, rightly walked away from the deal
I quite like the idea of a loan deal. He finished last season with one or two surprisingly good performances. Given an extended run of games, maybe he might surprise us all? (ok, so it's not very likely)

When one considers the quality we have in CM he's still got a chance of making it. We're talking about players like Fletcher and Ando not Iniesta and Scholes in his prime.
What a sophisticated way you have of rating central midfielders. "Iniesta and Scholes in his prime" or "not Iniesta and Scholes in his prime". So simple yet so effective.

He just has to put the Barcelona midfielders in any thread related to any midfielder on this planet.

I heard that Blackburn were sniffing about too. Apropos Blackburn, Steve Keane claims he is in talks with SAF about a couple of loan deals. Could Gibbo go on loan, or is he being sold?
