He was told he could leave so he found a club in the top four, what did you want him to do ? Sign for Hull?I would hate Welbeck so much if he is off to Arsenal.

He was in 99. Then later he proved himself and played regularly. Played left back and centre-back to fill holes in the line-up.Since when was he a squad player for us? You obviously didn't watch any united games back then.
To a rival fighting for (most likely) 1 really important spot in the league. Don't forget that bit.
I'd have just told him he's not going to arsenal and he's not playing ahead of those players. He'd have moved elsewhere.
I want him to do well but then again, it's Arsenal
Gutted he's leaving.
I'm quoting you right now, and making a note of coming back to your post at the end of the season! We'll see who's right then, my tip is that he'll end up with at least 18 goals in the league. Feel free to point and laugh if he only bags 12!No way is he getting 20 goals at Arsenal. You can quote me on that. His finishing is fecking awful, no matter how much game time he gets, it's still shit, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if by the end of the season Giroud and Walcott end up scoring more goals than Welbeck.
10-15 is more likely.
Only United could buy Shaw for £30m and sell Welbeck for £16m. Simply incredible. Not surprised he wanted to leave given the disgraceful way he's been treated. In two or three years' time we will be regretting our stupidity.
First of all you haven't got a clue what LVG has said to him and secondly, can you blame him for wanting to leave for first team football when he has bided his time for a few years now plus the club are bringing in one of the best players in the world in his position? It looks like he wanted first team football and i image that LVG said to him you can be a sub or go on loan develop a bit and get a chance next year in the first team.
He instead went to our rival for top 4. He forced it simple as that and noone wanted him gone.
Ridiculous. After all of woodys good work he manages to feck it all up!
You said
Maybe he does rate Welbeck, but just rates RVP and Rooney higher? I'm done with this anyway, I don't even know what we're debating about now tbh

Wonder what pushed us into going through. The club's interests have to be above Welbecks.I imagine we would have tried it considering we weren't willing to sell him anyway but wanted a loan.

His finishing is pretty terrible but playing 35-40 games, I reckon he'll get 10-15 goals. 15 is being optimistic but he won't get 20, he'll never be that good imo. Its remarkable though how everyone's crying about him leaving without him even proving himself a great deal at United. Says it all that all rival fans including Arsenal fans are unsure about the transfer and can't see why they're paying £16m for a striker that can't score (sounds familiar to Arsenal fans?) whereas United fans are crying as if Ronaldo has left the building. It's not awful as such, but it's very inconsistent and this notion that Welbeck is suddenly going to become a prolific goalscorer at Arsenal is way off the mark. So we can agree on things to an extent.
Why shouldn't he try get the best move for himself?feck him. By all accounts he's forced this move, so feck him.
We should be glad they did.I dunno, it's a worry, especially after the way Arsenal mucked us about over Vermaelen (which seems like an eternity ago).

Please do, as I will forget.Quoted
This is our Sturridge.
Glad he's leaving for him though, seems a good guy and deserves to be playing every week.
He's going to score 20 goals this season no problem.
