But isn't that what the fans (at least those over here want)?
Woody is simply delivering what fans are demanding - a plastic team like Chelsea and City.

Personally I think its important to strike a balance between then both. Bring in top quality if you can afford it, but mix it with talented youth players like we have down the years, i.e Brown, O'Shea, Fletcher etc etc

I really rate Welbeck, I fear Wenger could take him to another level and we may regret it.

6m for a loan? They're getting mugged off there. Still don't think we should do it though

let s hope so..

If we loan him there will surely be a future fee. Let's hope it's stupidly high.

A question to put things in context, how would you all feel if we'd kept Welbeck and Arsenal had signed Falcao...?

6 million is a good loan fee, but it just looks so wrong. It really is transfer deadline day.

Why would we regret it? If Wenger takes him to another level, it would be something we failed to do, id rather that happen than him staying here and being what he is now all his career.

Fantastic for England if he does.

We should have done a hell lot more efforts to get Welbeck as far away from England as possible. If City were able to sell Micah Richards to Fiorentina, I don't see how and why we can't do the same with Welbeck.

What if it costs us top 4?

Are people really trying to tell me they'd rather have kept Welbeck and let Falcao go elsewhere, come on man. Danny is free to leave and quite rightly he wants to go a good club, fair enough, we'd be bang out of order to piss him around and try and make him go elsewhere.

If it's true that we're getting £6 million for a one-year loan, I can only imagine that a permanent deal will be worth £20 million plus. That's not bad business for Welbeck, but I do think we'd miss his pace. The main problem is that we're giving Arsenal a fast, dynamic striker. I really think he's going to thrive there.

Welbeck deserves to play for the club he wants, i'd chose arsenal over spurs any day, no hard feelings whatsoever.

It's gonna be a bit bizarre rooting for an Arsenal player. On the one hand it suits him perfectly with their style of play so he could come back confident having finally announced himself as a prolific PL scorer. On the other hand if he settles in as well as he can then he'll probably just stay there because it'll be a while yet before Rooney/RvP/Falcao need replacing.

There is a question hanging in the air.
Was Torres better than Sturridge because Torres just cost 50mil?
Same question regarding Welbeck vs Falcao

What if it costs us top 4?

What if Welbeck scores against the likes of Chelsea/Liverpool and City and not against us because he can't play? Look at the positives instead of the negatives all the time.

This could be like Lukuku going to Everton last season for Chelsea, scoring against everyone other than them.

Why the heck would you rather THAT happen?
I'd much rather keep a player who flops here cause he didn't get a chance, than who would go to a rival and be a huge success at a rival?!
Who gives a crap about the player. We're supporters of the CLUB..
as for England...Seriously..

YCSYFEUYA..

I think this is the most gutted I've been selling a player since Ronaldo :(

We got Falcao. So let's make sure Arsenal isn't getting any strikers by keeping Welbeck
