Why are people overly angry about him going to Arsenal? It's a good move for him. He'll be getting football more regularly up front while also having CL football this year. I'd rather we don't sell to rivals, but I don't think Welbeck is good to the point where he'll be propelling Arsenal to the title. I'd certainly rather have Falcao up front than Welbeck.

Just don't let him go, simple as that.
Why would you want to hold onto a player who doesn't want to stay? He's 4th choice striker at the moment, cant blame him for wanting to progress as a footballer.

I'd be disgusted if we sold him to Arsenal or Spurs. Just keep him and play him ffs. Mental.

I wouldn't want to sell him to arsenal. It wouldn't make sense.

Where's he going to play? He'll be 4th choice striker and clearly doesn't want to be played out of position, which is fairly unlikely anyway considering we've just bought Di Maria to play out wide.

He'll be just like Sturridge and live up completely.

He should be playing upfront.

He'll get more chances at Arsenal and we'll all finally be able to agree that he can't finish.

of course it will be a good move for him, but we as a club should never sell or loan him out to Arsenal, simple as that. We are in the driving seat and i dont care what we do with him, no way should he end up there.

With two of them.

At the moment, we're playing two strikers. He doesn't want to play out of position clearly, so where's he going to play? We're not going to play three strikers.

All three are considerably better than him when on form anyway.

He might not be better induvidually, but he offers the pace and link up that none of the others do.

Tbh if signing Falcao is the nail in the coffin for Welbeck's United career then I'll be very dissapointed.

I prefer not selling him to Arsenal. Be a smart. We aren't going to strengthen our rival when we really need that Champion League spot.

But where's he going to play? He's not good enough to play ahead of them up front, and he doesn't want to play out of position. I like Welbeck, but I'm willing to sacrifice him for a player like Falcao who's leagues ahead of him as a striker.

Ofc if we were guaranteed top 4 like under Fergie I would like to see him at Arsenal, and ofc he will prefer Arsenal to other options, but as we are fighting for top 4 I'd rather he went to Spurs now. He will be devastating at Arsenal and will link up brilliantly with Sanchez, Ramsey, Özil, Cazorla, Ox at al :(

Anyway good luck to him, hope he gets enough games and we buy him back in some years (if he wants to come by then).

Honestly, I'd rather him go on loan to Arsenal than Spurs. Spurs are a bit too brittle to hold onto a Top 4 spot, and I don't think Welbeck would flourish there, while I think Arsenal would probably be best for him to develop. If he does well at Arsenal, up goes his valuation goes up or we might choose to keep him & jettison another of the strikers. Of course, if he goes to Arsenal, it makes making the top 4 for us harder, but I'd rather Arsenal strengthened than Spurs. Spurs, with Pochettino, can be dangerous.

He finishes the chances you wouldn't expect him to and fecks up the chances that should be his bread and butter. The thing is, he's always gotten chances in front of goal, so it's quite baffling that he didn't bring himself to improve in that area. Maybe he's doing it in training for all we know, but I'm not if he'll ever fill in that missing piece to his game on the pitch.

I think this is where people are overrating him a bit. He'll be effective for Arsenal and a decent buy, but I don't think he's going to be devastating as such.

Think were going to end up in scrap for 4th with Arsenal and possibly Spurs which Is why I would also like to see him somewhere else but as a player moving to Arsenal will be a great move for him, should help him become 1st choice striker for England as well.

Me and Sir Alex Ferguson are willing to sacrifice Rooney for Welbeck.

The worst thing is that he will fit in perfectly there! Bang alot of goals. Just dont sell him!

But a promise that he'd play depending on form is arguably quite futile because if Rooney and RVP were both to hit form then he'd be unlikely to get into the team. Of course, he could potentially get a place, but there's a strong chance he'd end up as a bit part player again and it seems clear he didn't want that.

From his point of view it's much better than being played just when Rooney and van Persie are both injured. If he was played depending on form last season he would easily get 25 starts in the league, and I am quite sure he would be happy with that.

Even then, he'd be competing with RVP and Falcao. And that's presuming we continue to play with two strikers.

Let him rot in the reserves if he disrespects the club after sticking with him undeservedly for so long. Can't really comment before I know all the facts.

But he ultimately can't be guaranteed that here. I like him, but it makes sense for him to move since I don't think he's good enough to lead the line for us if we have title ambitions.

Arsenal is in a bad condition with no striker since Giroud is injured. Falcao is ours now. Remy moved to Chelsea. They don't have many options in strikers. So better don't let them to have any strikers

If he was going to Newcastle or Hull, then yeah, good luck.

If he's going to Arsenal, I hope he does shite. Why would we want him to help Arsenal?

Really sad to see him go.

I hope he goes on to properly fulfill his potential (and in-turn royally piss us off)

Having a medical at Arsenal according to SSN. Hope its only a loan if he does go.

Surely we aren't stupid enough to let him to there?
