I'm more overjoyed at Sanchez terrible performances so far, utd fans wanted us to sign him me included but it seems like we dodged a bullet with him.

Gotta give him time to settle before judging him mate. He's only played 3 and a half games in the league tbf. Ozil is the bigger laugh ATM and fits your post too!

I realise he will take time to settle but in general he's has been poor but hey ho if we signed Sanchez then
we might never have got Di Maria

I am watching 15 minutes now and he is shit. On the other hand Alexis

Few people would have so much made of an unlucky miss. He didn't badoink it into the stands. There's a sense of mid-era Andy Cole in that every little miss is going to be highlighted, fairly or not.

He's been mainly invisible and still looks awkward as feck on the ball. I don't see him pulling up any trees.

I agree.

His work rate is first class, but he never looks like producing a bit of magic to win the game.

He's a good player - nothing more and isn't up to the standards of what we have here.

He needs to improve quickly, because eventually Wenger will bow to pressure and buy a big name forward and he'll be shunted out wide or sitting in the bench.

His best things are usually his link up play and winning the ball off defenders.. On the ball if he's not doing little flicks he just looks really uncomfortable. Looks a bit lost today to be honest.

There was no need to dink that though. Its something we've seen plenty of times. Go for the elaborate instead of just hitting it low and into the net, you know, the easier option.

If a striker had a similar debut for us, I imagine we would be pissed at him for missing the one on one but overall would say it was a positive debut as goals will likely come as time goes on.

Meh, nowt special, missed a one on one with a fancy chip. Usual business resumed. Will become a good and useful player but never a world beater as some are fearing.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on Welbeck in general. I dont doubt for a second he wont score at least 10-15 goals this season playing as a front man for them but unless he really rediscovers his shooting boots from his reserve days i dont think he will be the striker they need.

That was your typical Danny Welbeck performance. Arsenal fans better get used to it. Learn to accentuate the positives.
Agreed, he's been typical - missed clear chance, useless in the box, but ran a lot and stretched the defence a bit.

Agreed, it was a decent enough performance.

Typical performance from him. Should have scored from that chance and that was a bad miss but otherwise good link up play and very much involved in the game. I guess Arsenal fans won't mind it for 16m at this stage given their alternative to Giroud would have been SaNoGoal without him.

Typically average perofmrnace from Danny. Had the potential and did do some great things, then missed a few key chances and ruined a few attacks.
