Doesn't work that way. A player is judged on all performances, you can't pick and choose which games he's judged on.Anonymous today really.
Should never be judged on Chelsea away though

Depends what you expect from your front men. For example if Falcao/RvP/Rooney had a game like he did today you would be gutted. With Welbeck because hes not at their level (and i dont think he ever will) this kind of performance is expected against top opposition.Doesn't work that way. Thats not my point.I have seen RVP and Rooney have performances like that for United, it happens
Rooney/RVP have had more than 100 games playing as a striker to prove they can score against anyone. Welbeck has had, what? 10? 15?Thats not my point.
My point is you dont judge performances Welbeck has against top opposition because hes not a top striker that you expect will get a goal against top defenses. Unlike Rooney/RvP who have proven they can score against anyone.

I mean if you want to say he wasn't good enough for United and use Chelsea away as an example fair play to you.
How does that matter. Both Rooney or RvP in the early stages of their career had already shown they can score against anyone, something Welbeck didnt achieve enoughRooney/RVP have had more than 100 games playing as a striker to prove they can score against anyone. Welbeck has had, what? 10? 15?

Que "he was playing on the wing"
Which top class striker should Wenger have bought this summer.Nothin special today. Was average on the ball, didn't convert his chances and looked lost in a game Chelsea dominated.
He's a good striker, but Arsenal bought another Giroud level striker when they should have bought a top class one.
Same old Wenger.
So 3 goals out of his 30?He's scored against Madrid, Arsenal and Man City.

well, actually, if he's supposedly as good as you and some others are claiming he can become, he absolutely should be judged on games like this.Anonymous today really.

Right, and how many top teams did van Persie score against at 23? Seeing as you're claiming he'd shown that at Welbeck's age.So 3 goals out of his 30?
