We have a lot to improve on transfer market but it's a real luck to have club's promoted player here, doing solid work for the team.

He's pure quality.
Excellent performance, his link up play was excellent and I think he was easily our best player in the second half. Can't understand why we played him so deep/behind the Rooney for most of the game, but eventually it turned out good because he started most of our attacks with his running with the ball between their lines.
Everything was good about him today. The only complaint is he perhaps could have been a tad more decisive when the ball fell to him in the box

Seemed to feel his knee again towards the end. Not good. Classy performance.
Was furious when Hernandez didn't play him in. That sort of moment is what will always hold Hernandez back from being first choice.
Good today hope his injury was just a knock. Offers much more movement when he plays as CF

I think he meant our best player today, which is not that far from the truth. Rooney was more eye-catching as always, especially with his goals, but Welbeck caused Hull defence endless headache. Hope he'll get to play up front for more games and continue his good form.
Yeah, everyone would be in his place, two very good runs, and both times he didn't get the pass he wanted, it would be two good goalscroing chances for him.

Thought he did well. Wasn't a great or stand out display but it was a tough game for the strikers and he made it tough for Hull and linked the play well at times.
What nonsense! A player who has looked head and shoulders above the opposition and scored a world class goal.
Welbeck however did show what a good midfielder he could be, great close control and neat passing.Great team play today

Good performance from Welbeck today. Held up the ball very well with Hull players getting rather physical with him. Some of his link up play was very nice as well.
I wasn't discussing the goal remotely. At times, Rooney's touch got sloppy.

I haven't seen any purpose of Hernandez on the field, when we are protecting a lead.

Yup - MOTM without a doubt. I actually though Smalling did well today as well - today it was Evans struggling defensively.

I don't understand why Chicha didn't, it was such an obvious and easy thing to do. Did Hernandez want to score on his own ?
United might as well covert him into a ball playing centre back.

Nah. Chicha isn't a selfish player. He's just not very good in those circumstances.
He's one of our only players that you'd put your life on not losing the ball when we're being pressed. He seems to always find a way to find space under pressure and pick out a pass.
Yeah but then it wasn't a specially difficult situation, it wasn't a through ball between two defenders. It was a simple pass in the space. If he messed the weight up then ok but he didn't even try to pass it.
His technique is extremely good - if you take away the brain-fart he has every match.

Seems to have gotten stronger on his feet and less easy to bring to ground. Love how he rode some challenges and carried on with the ball. Interesting proposition: would we be better served playing Welbeck behind Rooney up top when the 2 are on the pitch at the same time?

Agreed, ball just stuck to his feet and he shrugged the opposition off so many times. Another one who likes to drop deep.
I hope you watched today's game to see that the opinion that he has everything apart from finishing isn't quite ridiculous.
Well, my point was that a spell of decent games from Welbeck doesn't change the fact that he's been very average for a long time. He's high on confidence right now and it shows, but like with Moyes, until I see some lasting improvement I'll remain skeptical. And yes, I'm a negative nancy.
