Thing is, this puts a stain on the role. It may put off potential suitors to the role and put us in a worse position
This is what I’m leaning towards. Be it some personal issue, disagreement or he’s done something scandalous. Be interesting to see when the truth comes out. On the face of it, it’s very weird.Cannot be football related.
Why can't we just go a few weeks with a few wins and no drama. Harchester united.I fear you are right.
I make you right!!!Wasn't Ashworth one of the people pushing for Ten Hag to be kept? I read that Ratcliffe disagreed with that. Now that the season is falling apart due to our poor start under Ten Hag, Ratcliffe has decided to boot Ashworth. He probably stuck his neck out for Ten Hag and it didn't work, factor in the almost £20m spent to sack him.
Then why hire Amorim?? This is the whole problem with this clubMay be him and Amorim differed in their views and ideas ? Playing style and recruitment and so on ?
Probably wanted his mate Garuf.Bloody hell. That was unexpected. So much for the dream team.
Maybe Ashworth was not on board with the Amorim appointment?
This was my first thought too. Always got the impression that Wilcox was the one pushing to get rid of ten Hag.Wasn't Ashworth one of the people pushing for Ten Hag to be kept? At least he'd cook the chicken properlyMight as well hire Gregg Wallace.
This was from last month.
That's as close to impossible as anything as ever been. Calm down.I swear we'll end up doing a Leeds. Every facet of the club is a fecking shambles.
This sounds too fast to be about performance.
Sounds way more like he disagreed once too often with Ratcliffe or Brailsford. I hope not, because I'm not seeing much future in Ratcliffe declaring himself supreme leader.
Not sure the club, or ownership really care how it looks, as long as they make the right calls. Why does it mean that? Perhaps he's really unhappy about the ownership meddling in his work.
Whatever the case, it doesn't reflect well on the club. They paid 2-3m for him and he's gone after 5 months. Did they do their proper research on him or what? How can the relationship sour after 5 months?

Pity we don’t use this approach at a manager / player levelIf he's not right, why the feck continue with it?
Plus it's too soon to judge. I don't see it with Zirkzee either but he's not been so bad you sack someone for buying a slightly overpriced and mediocre back up player. A signing like Antony is probably a stackable offence, but even with him, you don't make that conclusion after a few months. It can’t be about recruitment. Honestly our recruitment this summer doesn’t even look that bad anyway minus possibly Zirkzee.
People blaming the 3-4-3 for Ashworths sacking. Games gone. All guesswork, But could it be team strategy?
It’s a Sunday as well, we can’t escape!Just one normal day, please.
Does the social media platform work? Is it defunct and showing signs of downward trajectory? Elon and X isn't what you think it is regardless of his personal views, X is better than it's ever been. Now to Sir Jim, you call him detached but yet wanted a structure put in place so not one single owner made the decisions. Isn't him being more detached what you wanted? He did what you all wanted and you're still complaining. It was never going to be smooth or without issues. He's a detached billionaire with a documented history of acting like a spoilt baby, who's just bought control of the football club he supported as a child.
It might be down to something else but honestly I don't know what people expect or expected from Sir Jim Ratcliffe other than him acting like Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
You wouldn't put Elon Musk in charge of a social media platform and then be surprised when he treats it like his personal toy. This really isn't that different.
The big masterclass everyone assumed the Ashworth appointment was pivotal to really doesn't exist. You only have to listen to the garbage Ratcliffe comes out with to realise that..
"Well, I tried to tell you so (yes, I did)Return of Ragnick
I can imagine him faceplanted in a mountain of cocaineSir Jim unhinged, Scarface style
Return of Ragnick
And Wilcox is Berrada's man, always found it odd that the CEO brought in someone who he has a previous working relationship with before the DOF even stepped in. Couple that with how the decision to keep Ten Hag backfired and how the signings haven't helped the club progress at all you could start to see the case for his dismissal but still it would be harsh imo. This was my first thought too. Always got the impression that Wilcox was the one pushing to get rid of ten Hag.
