Wouldn't be surprised if most are worse. The Mail holds its figures afloat by giving away a few hundred thousand copies a day at the UK airports and on all BA flights, seriously pisses me off when you go to board and there's no i or Evening Standard available and you're left stuck with the Heil.
I fear the slope on the graph of Mail Online readers would be in the opposite direction and much steeper.
It's not just them though. Even the FT and Guardian gove away shedloads and those weird offers were you get a Tel with a bottle of water.
The DM website powers on though. Will be interesting if they go paywall.

Jesus, will never understand the people who claim PC anytime there is non-British, non-white, non-male, non-straight person on TV. It can't be because they are suited to the job or anything? I wonder who they would have proposed instead seeing as only straight, white British males are acceptable.
I can understand in certain contexts having a specific type of person for that role makes sense, for example if you were to do a portrayal of Hitler and the Nazi party having a cast of non-white females wouldn't make much sense. However, different types of people exist and its not politically correct to show these people. This is just as infuriating as the people who want to force diversity by having actors cast in roles just because of their ethnicity, sexuality or gender.

I really do think we're (the big "we") are getting better at the last bit. Sure, if a play specifies a tall blonde woman it would be silly to cast someone who wasn't tall and blonde, because there is probably some reference in the script, or the appearance may be crucial to the plot. However, there are loads of roles where someone's appearance is never fully specified.
I see that in the new Harry Potter play, a black actress (Noma Dumezweni) has been cast to play Hermione. When questioned about it, J K Rowling said that Hermione is very clever with brown eyes and frizzy hair, and was never described as black, white, Asian or any other ethnicity. So Ms Dumezweni fits the description, and the fact that the movie Hermione was white is irrelevant.
