Kinell. The upvotes are extra alarming.

All you need to do is to spend a day on r/againsthatesubreddits, and realise that this is the enlightened progressive youth talking. And this is where young kids are going to get more and more of their information. There's holocaust denial, support for genocide, alongside more standard racism, working its way from 4chan, voat, into r/altright (and its substitutes), r/The_Donald and other "anti-PC" subs, and then into reddit as a whole.

It's one reason I can never quite jump fully aboard the "once millennials are in control, things will get better" wagontrain. Quite possible that we're entering an era of pretty dangerous polarisation. Made me slightly nauseous recently seeing David Irving say he was getting messages from 16 year olds saying they'd seen him speak on Youtube and thanked him for showing them "the truth", and he's also getting huge anonymous donations. Milo isn't going to be the last one that gets to the top through infamy, and most won't be dumb enough to say one of the few things that'll lose them their support.

Also slightly envious of your control in tab opening.

Yes, I also am not sure if the leftist generation in the US is an anomaly produced by the crisis+slow growth + culture war/Trump GOP + Bernie, or if there's an independent generational shift which will continue with those who are under 18 now. Because if the 1st 2 conditions remain, you can easily see the attraction of a right wing populism.

Also, this was 20 mins after I had resolved to reset my day and start working, so really only the 3rd and 4th tab should be open

I'm not sure what's more depressing...the comments or the votes.

I can't read the daily mail comments anymore, it makes me feel ill. And the scary thing is it seems like the vast majority of readers are clearly racist horrible people. And it's been getting progressively worse over the last few years.

The DM drops the 's' bomb.

What odd phrasing. Is it an autocorrection of 'plastic' perhaps?

I'm glad they helpfully circled the rat, against that pristine white background.

Daily Mail readers probably wish a lot of other things were circled for them, such as the clitoris and, when they start ranting, the point.

Why is everything still being mad.

The stupid bastards. Yes, that's my suggestion for a new name for the Mail.

This is exactly...how I begin every post about Hitler.

I hope they are fakes, but knowing the Daily Mail supported BUF, i am not that surprised.
I'm sure there are trolls on there, obviously, but the volume suggests there is a certain hive mentality there.

Doesn't even work. They should've at least gone full facist and said "Moors"

They're promoting foreign holidays while denigrating foreigners. Twats.

Without Spanish people crossing into Gibraltar every day to work, the place wouldn't function.

It has more businesses than households and the biggest industries are online gambling (because its a tax haven) and cigarette smuggling.

They really should not be allowed to get away with such headlines. I'm all for a free press, but a lying press is just as dangerous as a state controlled one. We have the worst of all worlds.

Ironically, it's flag-waving twats like the Sun and the Mail that make me less patriotic than I might've been.

It's fecking disgusting, suggesting military action against a close ally like Spain and not only that, making some sort of inane joke about it linking it to the Italian Job, which film has nothing whatsoever to do with the situation with Gibraltar. On the same page, sending their readers to Spain on the cheap, presumably so that they can get their heads blown off by British gun ships? Actually, they might be on to something there...

I wonder what Michael Caine thinks about his image being used in such a context.

Do we have a Sun thread because this is a gem

Nobody involved in putting that nonsense together has ever been to Gibraltar. It's pathetic how uninformed they are about its situation. It really is just a rock to them.

Edit - Live in Spain, been out to do a few things today, and I keep getting asked about Gibraltar. It's embarrassing.
