Yeah, when i hear the 2 x 30M defenders i can't understand how people think.

We were second to a team whose manager bought 4 x 50M to 60M defenders and people are going on about 2 defenders that we bought for 30M and wanting him to compete with city.

30m still isn't loose change, and it wasn't 2 years ago for Bailly, before the explosion of fees with Neymar.
It's more the fact he's brought these 2 in and neither has shown they are worthy of being mainstay players.

There isn't just City in the league either, and it's not like we're 2nd this season.

He can bluff the board all he wants. They will sack him if results don't improve massively. We are tenth after giving him £400m to spend and some here are saying it's because we didn't sign Alderweireld. Utter tosh.

They're clearly just wind up merchants.

We want him to compete with Brighton, Derby, Wolves, or West Ham while playing attractive football, very few people believe we can challenge city.

It's not just Mourinho though. Were all the signings down to Mourinho? I think Sanchez and Pogba were Woodward signings.

Is this just the press paying Jose back for his sub 3 minute press conference?

This fecking football club

During the same windows, Bailly and Lindelof went for similar or superior fees than Skriniar, Umtiti or Hummels, I don't even need to mention the dozens of players that went for far less or players like Bonucci that were in very particular context.

How did he not?

Can you read? What is wrong with that?
Yes mate, can you count? It’s the usual covering all the bases that happens during the transfer window, this will happen but if it doesn’t...

You can't read.

“If it does”

Some of these journalists are a joke.
Strange to call someone a joke for explaining a reason for a delay? You do realise this is the guy who broke the Moyes to be sacked, LVG to be sacked and Jose to be appointed stories before anyone else did? His source is obviously solid.

No he’s not. He’s still insisting he’s gone just might last another week until we finalise his replacement. You clearly can’t read properly, go back to school.

Hardly covering all bases given we could actually keep Mourinho if we wanted to. Nowhere does he suggest that's even a possibility.

It all seems far fetched. Why would we hold onto Mourinho knowing we are going to get rid as soon as we have a replacement ready? What’s the point? We shouldn’t be contemplating sacking him in the first place without having a replacement ready. Then again, that’s exactly the sort of thing Ed would do.

Lets wait till the weekend is actually over before complaining that the bloke is wrong.
Yeah, one of the biggest issues with this place and football in general is people can't wait to be the first to label someone fraud or past it, just so they can say "I called this ages ago".

There was nothing to break about LVG sacking tbf. Everyone knew he sealed his fate after losing to WHU and missing top 4.

I don't remember Moyes sacking but didin't it come as a surge of news everywhere in every newspaper 24 hours arter Everton loss and next day the club issued the statement ?

Why did we keep Van Gaal on for the FA cup final despite telling the press he was gone after the game? For a club the size of Manchester United, our hiring and firing shouldn't be done on the basis of who's available. All decisions made should be beneficial to the business and club at that point in time.

He is the shite show. As proven at Chelsea and Madrid. The guy respect no one but Jose. Go back to Inter or go mess up AC Milan.

He is and we fans know it from just watching football on tv. So explain to me how the board ( who most likely know alot more about him than us ) chose to give him the job?

The board is the shitshow, knowing fully well about his behaviour in the past they still hired him. They fecking put us in this mess. Jose just did like he always does and very few of us are shocked at his behaviour. They put the fox in the hen-house and now we're blaming the fox for killing the chickens, bad analogy I know but it's not far from the truth.

Look, I want Jose gone as much as some of the other fans but we have to point fingers at the ones that are ultimately responsible for this mess and it's not Mourinho.

No, there was definitely a briefing to the press before the final that he was gone. There was lots of speculation around the time but there was a clear brief also. Sackings aren't a surprise at the end of the day, Pep and Klopp getting sacked this weekend would be a surprise.

That’s fine but if the reason is cause we don’t have a replacement lined up like he says then surely that was the case when he first reported the story so why is the delay only being explained now after the BBC have said otherwise. “Go back to school”

I know about the brief but everyone knew he was a goner once we lost to WHU. It was just matter of time. I think the unexpected thing was to sack him 2 days post final without waiting much.

I understand not wanting to go down the road of changing managers every couple of seasons, I don't want that either, but not sacking Moyes? Come on. He was seriously out of his depth. There was absolutely no signs of him being able to manage United. Nothing. None. Zero.

I would love to see how he would have done if given say 3 seasons and backed properly in the transfer market. Lets not forget he only signed 1 player the summer he was appointed, and Mata in January. The squad he inherited may have been champions but only because Fergie was the manager of them before Moyes, it was an ageing squad with many players past their best. It was an impossible job for anyone and I feel he was unlucky how things worked out for him. I'm not saying he would have done brilliantly or anything but I wonder would we be any worse off now? I doubt it.

The atmosphere at the ground is going to be so strange later. I bet the United players won't be in the right frame of mind to play a football game. What is going on?

If we keep Mourinho because of all the faux outrage from the leak, I'll be fuming.

I don't think the journo would lie about that particularly as he has form and that would literally be the end of him at Old Trafford if wrong.

There is no smoke without fire as they say.

I find it hard to believe a journo would make up such an elaborate story, not if said journo cared for his/her reputation.

Well if he does get sacked this will be the third time it has gone to the media before it has happened.

There can only be a handful of people privy to that information. That said person should be sacked.

Wasnt' David Mc'Donnell the same guy who reported in the summer that Martial was disillusioned and about to leave Man United?
Wasn't David Mc'Donnell the same guy who came up with that abominable article of 'What a waste of Money!' before Martial even kicking the ball?

If this is true. I’ll be extremely disappointed in the club. Jose deserves better and we need a new CEO before hiring a new manager.

The mirror is the biggest pile of shite going, they also find it funny to use cringey names for players, not professional and made up crap

I get that. I just wouldn’t write him off just yet.

Should we wait until we're 16th like Chelsea were?
Utd have had the easiest start to a season out of the top 6.. yet here we are 10th. Statistically worse than even Moyes.

The toxicity alone is enough for him to need to go.
Spurs had no signings and yet smashed Utd at home despite Utd finishing higher.. :wenger:

I don't believe Ed would sign players without the manager's consent. Don't believe it for a second .

I concur. Jose wanted those players.

He wrote an article about an independent transfer review stating that Martial wasn't worth what we paid for him. The Mirror used "what a waste of money" as a big back page splash, but journalists aren't responsible for the headlines their articles are given.
