I bet we lose today? Imagine the players thinking he's gone, then he's not:lol: What the feck does that do to your preparation?
Well you'd hope as they're professionals, they still do their jobs and don't down tools even more. They're paid handsomely to do a job for the club, we should expect nothing less. Highly doubt they take a report in The Mirror as gospel either, they'd get it filtered through from their agent who's spoke to Woodward.

If Jose goes then Woodward's position is untenable too.

He should be gone asap. Seeing as he's aware of this, Jose's going nowhere for the moment

I guess the board did not like initial public reaction and this was feeler to see how people will react. Neville's reaction may have been more impactful than I had hoped.

Woodward's position is absolutely not linked to Mourinho. Only some fans think that way.

That would be damning of the club, Woodward in particular, if it was true. Who runs a club like that. I'd have a shred more respect if he had the balls to do what he felt necessary and not listen to the fans.

You're probably right though. Woodward knows he's in for it.

He won’t get fired because he’s brilliant at the commercial side of the business.

He should stay out of any Football related decisions and hire someone who actually has a clue on what Football is about.

We are fastly becoming the laughing stock of the football world , its all so depressing ,how did it come to this ! Hate to say it but we missed out bigtime on some 'managers' that were available when Sir Alex retired. I wont mention said managers, cause i friggin hate them (now), we all now who they are!!

Depends who writes for the Mirror. Mullock and McDonnell are reliable journalists.
Mullock said we were signing Alderweireld within 48 hours, turns out we never even contacted Spurs for him. Mullock is a City fan who might be reliable for them but writes a lot of nonsense about United.

They shouldn’t have appointed him. But whoever they appoint should be for the long term and given time. They are incapable of seeing past the next financial year. Moyes was a ‘cheap’ appointment, more short-termism. They could give him six years knowing full well it would cost very little to end that deal.
That doesn't make any sense. They did make a mistake in hiring Moyes. We all knew that. But the only thing siller than hiring him would have been to stick with him depsite knowing he wasn't good enough. It goes for any decision in life really.

My decoding of the Mirror report is that he’s managing his last game for us today.

With the international break approaching, he doesn’t necessarily need to be sacked today or tomorrow (this weekend).

But the mirror keep pointing to the board losing its support of Mourinho which would clearly mean one way or another, regardless of result, today is his final match as our manager.

He did say the board want to stick with him in the same article. And like he's not a journalistic deity. He's a reliable journalist that's all.
He might well be correct but if we win the game (or not) and don't sack him he can just write another article saying they've changed their minds to give him more time, journalists can't lose really.

The amount of wacky theories this morning.

Other then wishful thinking, I cant for the life of me work out what the ‘not yet’ brigade expect to happen between now and the inevitable, whenever that is!

For me the team could scrape several wins together but the underlying failures of the team will never be addressed under the current management, the players simply do not have that buy in with. I would happily accept a mid table position come end of season but with an entirely different environment at the club then turgidly aiming for top 4 under the same cloud that has persisted last few years.

Perhaps that is wishful thinking on my part, either way looks like no one is happy.

I am dreading the next seven games. It could be a pleasant surprise, but more likely we will have to sit through a mass humiliation. :(
Actually thought Jose could steer us through the period with decent results if he wasn't bent on dicking around with the CBs and his new found love for the midfield duo of the turtle brothers.

Yeah, he makes the club too much money. You would think a business as big as United would put a football person in charge of football, and let the money man, manage the money. This just makes our club look even more inept.

To be fair a lot of people were saying we were signing Toby. But yeah he's definitely more reliable for City news.

The point I’m making is they aren’t thinking long term, ever. And are building short term clauses into all these managers’ deals. No CL qualification = the sack. They aren’t prepared to back managers with time to rebuild.

Mourinho won’t last beyond this season obviously but unless we lose 0-5 against Newcastle,I realistically can’t see him being sacked this weekend...

feck off Woodward and the board. They never learn, repeating every mistake they’ve made. Club is a shambles at this point.

That's because the managers they hired weren't good enough.

I agree that we lack a long term vision but is more relevant when it comes to our long term strategy and contuinty rather than patience with managers. We're patient enough with our managers. You can keep backing a slow horse. What we need to do is pick better managers who fall within some sort of overarching strategy and vision of what the club's values and beliefs are.

So they keep picking the wrong managers AND don’t give managers time. And yet somehow fans have confidence in the Glazers. Amazing.

Mourinho could completely turn this around over the course of the season, take us on a long run, go far in the Champions League, even win it and it still wouldn't change my mind.

He could win the title next season and by God, I would still want this classless twat out of my club.

I refuse to back down at all from my position on this matter.

Red cafe, Team Jose Out!

How'd you work that one out?

Isn’t it obvious? Every time the sack a manger they are applauded, the green and gold protest died a death, profits continue to grow. The majority of the fan base have shown no sign of losing faith in them. Just read the caf for all the delusionals claiming they are great owners who have ‘invested’ in the squad.

What's amazing is how you seem to be struggling with basic logic.

Picking the wrong managers - wrong
Giving those managers loads and loads of time despite them clearly being the wrong picks - also wrong

I’ve some bad news for you. It’s not your club.

Ogden implying Mou might walk

Its a collective.Jose alone cant turn this round when the players cant be arsed.
I cant see any other outcome other than Jose being booted out.
