From what i'm reading, this was a Mendes leak to the mirror. I think a meeting obviously happened to discuss the current issues, but i'm now starting to believe Mendes leaked the story to drum up short term support.

At this point it's Woodward vs Mourinho. It's come to this because Woodward has too much of a say in the football side of things ie transfers.
If handled better both could add value to the club independent of each other. Jose should have total say with transfers and Woodward should concentrate on the commercial side.
If Jose wants support in transfers he should have a say in appointing a director of football. The divide between success and failure is clear here to eveyone except those in charge at the club.
The only way to salvage this season is for Woodward to be moved to a purely commercial role and Jose promised full reign of transfers going forward. Woodward is the best man for the commercial role and Jose is the best football manager. Only egos stand in the way of success at the club. Unfortunately it looks like Jose will be sacked while Woodward and the club continue to make the same mistakes.

The players aren't playing for him due to many reasons.The club wont back him in the transfer market.And the football style shows no signs of progressing into something more pleasing on the eye.
With the International break coming up now would be as good a time as any to either sign a full time manager or bring in a temporary one.

No it's easy to do. Mendes' camp may just have leaked this info on the stepulation that it gets printed that the info came from United. That's what I'd do to make sure United look bad.

Mendes would have leaked it several journos and several newsapaer, not to someone from Mirror.
Last year when Ronaldo had his tax problems and told Mendes to leak his desire to leave to press Madrid, Mendes leaked it to even Stones at BBC himself.
There's no reason Mendes will go exclusively to a Mirror journo. Mirror isn't even that trustable to leak things to. Makes zero sense.
It's either from the club or Jose's camp. If it's the club, it's been badly handled and waiting for after the Newcastle game makes no sense if they have no faith in him anyway. If it's Jose's camp, that's even more badly handled as that means they've told him he's going to be sacked before taking charge of a game.

go back and watch some of the west ham highlights. it's very easy for newcastle if we play like that. Pogba just jogged around the pitch for all of his time on ground. If the players send a message tonight, it could be horrific.

I agree. Not to forget José's shat on nearly everyone involved with the club at some point since being here - the board, us fans, the players. I don't get it either but the fans who attend the games really seem to have taken Fergie's speech to heart. I've been to games under José and have never sung his chant, but to each their own. I mean, I hope it doesn't happen because he's taking us for a ride here, but I'm 99% sure it will.
