Edit: I also don't believe bringing in a replacement if true is going to solve anything. All we will be doing is papering over the cracks.

Until we see proper change. Attacking football, signings the best players and future talent. We won't go anywhere.

I am one to blame Mourinho so I hope he leaked this and Gary can have some humble pie.

This all starts at the top. We've clearly had no plan whatsoever since SAF retired.

Get someone in who's more accustomed to football operations - not selling tractor and noodle sponsorships.

I hope its not true. For many reasons, the clubs reputation for one but also to see the reaction of those currently bouncing. And if it isn't true, I hope the club has the balls to ban The Mirror and all affiliated with it from entering Old Trafford or having any access at all to the club, its players, managers or other staff. However, if true, then the leak needs to be removed, whoever it may be.

Consider this, we are 8 points behind and this has probably put us 11 behind.... and people think its going to "save our season".

The club needs reform. However Mou saw it coming. You can't really throw everyone under the bus and expect them to still bail you out on the pitch

The Glazers inherited a genius and we were lucky to win all the trophies. The only reason was because of SAF.

They should take 0 credit for any of it.
 
Poch won't have hands to steady this ship in time for such demanding club and fanbase. He works well under the hood and in less pressured environments. Best guess would be Zidane imo because he has respect from the players and good man management skills. Don't think he'd stay for the long term nor that he would be able to bring the league without heavy investment.
 
I'm with Gary Neville on this. He's spot on. Something rotten at the core of the club, the core being the Glazers and Woodward.

I wonder how the players will react to this news tomorrow when they play Newcastle?

Will they go out and express themselves and play some good attractive football or will it be the usual slow motion zombie sideways passing that we have been accustomed too for the last few years
 
Imagine wanting Poch next???? The guy might develop players but thats hit and miss what happened to Janssen? The FACT is he has a far superior squad in every position. Only DDG and Pogba would make his team yet he fails to challenge for anything. He is cracking under pressure at SPURS and crying to the media and people think he can do a rebuild job at United taking over from one of the most successful managers ever? What a farce. We need someone with true calibre as well as grit.

I’m suggesting the man being sacked will know before he’s sent a letter. Do you seriously believe that hundreds of people at a club are told before the manager? Have you considered that the formal stuff will probably take place over a number of weeks after he’s actually sacked?
 
People should remember that it was Mourinho's team that leaked the stuff about LVG's sacking .

I've wanted him gone as it really feels like the wheels have come off, but if it's happened this way then it's a complete shambles.

Neville has let his emotions get the better of him in that interview, but I agree with him entirely. Change needs to happen at the top, the Glazers either need to figure out how to run a club that's actually successful at what it's supposed to do and not just making money, or they should try and sell up and feck off. Obviously that would bring it's own risks, but ideally a group of people with the club's interests at heart would step in...

I fear that what will actually happen is Zidane will get the job, we'll splash more cash on players we don't really need, then the wheels will come off again a couple of years down the line. Rinse and repeat

Feel so disillusioned by it all. They really need to be careful, they're in danger of turning a majority of the loyal and lifelong fans against them.

@AndyJ1985 Is there a poster on this site that does that? Theres certainly those who blame him for everything, one famously taking it to such extremes as to compare with Adolf and co, but do such people exist on the other side of the fence?

He actually doesn't play Klopp or Pep esque football though. I watched several of their games at La Liga and in several games I didn't know what they were trying to do. All I can say is he loves width and crossing so fully expect the sight of Young crossing to Fellaini and Lukaku while we're losing will be used by him.
 
I don't really care if it is leaked. That is the harsh reality of the world we live in now where information is spread to millions of people within a click of button. Makes sense to do after tomorrow's game seeing as we have a 2 week break for internationals. My only fear is we blast Newcastle 5 0 and Jose stays although we probably have not scored more than 3 in months and months.
