Agreed. Potch won't leave midseason and I don't think we'll appoint a new manager until the summer. Not sure if Potch is the right appointment if we do go for him but it could be worse I guess.
We're not going 8 months without a manager.

It’s obvious it’s Zidane who’s coming in. We’ll be in the same situation next year.
Not obvious to me. The reports I've seen suggest he's not coming.

I think we should just have a caretaker and hire a DOF asap. Then take our time and choose the best fit for the club.

I suppose so. Let's be honest, Jose and his pragmatic "first, we must not concede" football was never the right match for Manchester United. It just doesn't fit with the values of our club.
Not defending him and I wholeheartedly don't agree with his philosophies but if you bring someone in to do a job and then you don't like they way they do the job, you're an absolute dickhead for not letting them do the job the way they do it best.

I’ve worked in offices yeah. I’ve never worked at a football club sacking a world famous individual but I have my doubts the intern or hundreds of employees would know before the man being sacked. What paperwork needs done before he’s sacked? A nice letter?
I can't even tell if you're being serious anymore. You know sackings aren't just done by word of mouth. It also has to be put into writing ie a formal letter. Do you also think contracts are made by handshake?

Jesus just watching these again, you have to wonder how he survived an absolute bollocking from the supporters for months on end? This was the end of him here after that Sevilla game
If ever a good time to sack him, that was it.

Jesus Christ. When has anyone being sacked every nice news. Do you want us to have a gentleman’s hand shake press run about it. Anyone, hopefully we get the new appointment right.
We have to wait for the next appointments and see whether they bring the DOF. That's all that matters for us really.

I get the feeling this could be a disaster as the problems are much deeper than Jose but I guess we’ll see if this is true and what our plans are moving forward

Got the same feeling. Two big names in the managerial world couldn't make it work, why would a new manager do it any better? Mourinho has to go I'm not arguing that but our problems go so much deeper than just him.

You can change the manager, but this will not change the way the club is run and functions. I agree with Gary Neville's comments that the club is being run by those who have no knowledge of how to maintain and run a successful football club.

United still aren't good at this. Changing managers, I mean. Always seems to be a leak from somewhere.

Agreed. We really have fecked up with the appointments in the post Sir Alex era, haven't we.:D

Yeah agree with that, I still remember that away performance in Sevilla as in one of the worst I have ever seen us produce in Europe and then we produced the same at home. Also he dropped Pogba for these games too which probably started the feud they had.

We'll be in the same situation two years down the line if we select our next managerial appointment from the "who's available right now list". Plus, it's not fair on the new incoming manager to expect them to sort out the turmoil. There needs to be a grace period of some sort while we consolidate and plan properly.

What if we bring someone in next week in a rush then decide to go ahead with the DOF and the new manager doesn't like it? There's too much to sort out, we have to wait. Chelsea have done it before now and been fine, Rafa even won the Europa League!

The more I think about it and listen to Neville the more I find myself agreeing with him. The club is a joke at the minute and the buck doesn't stop with jose in that aspect. He will likely go and we'll get a new shiny toy, only to realise that they're not magical and can't turn the club around quickly with all the rubbish that surrounds it.
the feeling disconnected with the current Manchester united thread rings truer than ever for me.
Jose certainly hasn't helped himself, but I think hes one of the only men in world football who can put up with the amount of flack the united manager gets from the board, press, fans etc.

Yeah it sucks that yet again a managerial sacking leaks out, even though everyone knows it’s going to happen anyway. I’m sure the payoff will comfort him though. It’s not all his fault obviously... An indecisive board above him and some questionable players under him are of concern as well.

I’ve strongly suspected that Rui Faria leaving may not have been Farias or Joses wishes entirely. It wouldn’t surprise me if something like Faria had argued over promises with the board which they weren’t going to make and he said a thing the board didn’t like, and therefore got rid of him which set the ball in motion for a summer of Jose Mourinho looking suicidal and wanting out.

I’m somewhat excited to see who the new guy is though.

I’m on a wind up man, just can’t believe so many people get worked up about how we handled the sacking of the man who had no class himself to begin with and disrespected the club left, right, centre.
Impossible to tell who's serious and who's not anymore.

Happy if true but I hope on average we don't act like scumbags and boo him and give him a good send off. He really wantwd to succeed here.

I’m fecking fed up of this club lurching from one feck up to another. Regardless what anyone thinks of Jose this is a ludicrous way to handle any situation. Woodward can feck right off too, nowt will change until he goes. Absolute moon unit.

The Mirror report clearly says it's United senior figures.
Correct me if I’m wrong here but it’s possible that that’s not actually true. I mean a newspaper wouldn’t exaggerate their stories in any way would they.

You’re a staunch Mourinho fan. Pretty sure you support him more than you support the club. I could be wrong but doubt it.

One thing I'll love once Mourinho is gone is we'll get rid of this trash accusations for any poster who defends his club manager, unless in 2 years people were start saying "Zidane fanboys".

Don't understand your point. Care to ellaborate ?
