Who's that?I would disagree. If we'd have given Jose £1b to spend on his own brand new team, like certain other manager, I'm pretty sure we'd have mopped up. But we don't work that way!

Oh. You were trying to be funny. Pretty sure I supported United long before Mourinho was here so you can stick that shit back up your arse.
I'm not too sure about that. He was given plenty to spend and unfortunately the vast majority of his signings so far have been flops. I therefore understand the hesitance of the board to fully back him this summer, especially when the names mooted were Perisic, Willian, Boateng and Alderweireld.I would disagree. Agreed. Potch won't leave midseason and I don't think we'll appoint a new manager until the summer. Not sure if Potch is the right appointment if we do go for him but it could be worse I guess. That's not really a concern tbf. Even Levy can't hang on to a manager who wants to feck off. If Poch tomorrow goes to Levy that he wants to leave, what's Levy going to do? Demote him to managing the reserves until he's up for managing the first XI again?
I just don't think he'll jump ship midway though.
That and the fact that there’s not many people in football that say no when Manchester United come calling.Could be the situation. He's probably doing his reputation more damage by staying at this point.
hoping some proper change is made this time and not rinse and repeat
Well we will never really know if the team Jose envisaged himself building here would have won trophies. However, I do think we'd have been more competitive if the manager gets his own way 100% and he doesn't make constant protests towards the board.I'm not too sure about that. There's a reason why Jose's never lasted too long in any job, even despite spending vast amounts with the likes of Real and Chelsea. He's a short-term manager, and doesn't guarantee you long-term success.
With the other top six managers who have spent big money like Pep and Klopp, you can see their vision and get an inkling of what they're building for the future. Even with managers like Emery and Pochettino, you can see where they're trying to go.
With Jose it was always putting a plaster on a gunshot wound. His short-termism is what has cost the club whilst he's been the manager. I don't think any amount of money would have allowed him to have continued success as he only thought about this season, and never really showed us his philosophy or what he was planning for the future.
I hope and am optimistic that the arrival of a DoF and a forward-thinking manager will allow us once again to compete at the highest level.

Nobody because nobody has spent that much.Who's that?
...Jose doesn’t change his ways it seems, leaking it to the press again.
McDonnell knows his stuff, in fact it looks like he's Ed's favourite choice for breaking this kind of news:
Moyes: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manchester-united-sack-david-moyes-3438544
Van Gaal: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/axe-set-fall-louis-van-8016430
I reckon that all but confirms it. Jose is gone.
Couldn’t he literally just resign though and we would compensate him handsomely for doing so.
No I was being serious. And I doubt you did tbf. Don’t throw a tantrum now that your man might be getting the heave ho.
We won't rush in with Zidane. It would be a disaster to do so.Reading that has put a smile on my face, he’ll get a massive reception tomorrow from the OT crowd and probably a massive send off no matter the result, he just wasn’t the right fit as so many said before he was even appointed.
Now on to the next problem as surely Zidane is going to be appointed as the new manager during the international break. Would rather wait to the summer and have a crack at getting Poch but who knows Zidane must have some serious pulling power and it’ll be intresting to see him build a team.
I’ve worked in offices yeah. I’ve never worked at a football club sacking a world famous individual but I have my doubts the intern or hundreds of employees would know before the man being sacked. What paperwork needs done before he’s sacked? You think Woodward is going to present him with a letter? You're joking right? Have you never worked at an office? The termination letter is often prepared immediately the decision is made.
How do you trump the worst footballing decision in the history of the sport (appointing David Moyes as United manager)?
Sack Jose Mourinho and replace him with Brendan fecking Rogers.
You’re the one that quoted me with negative energy. All I did was say I don’t think we will replace him with another manager.
Pretty sure we’d just give him a signing on bonus to replace it.Nope. If a manager resigns he loses any money he would get if he was sacked.

I’m on a wind up man, just can’t believe so many people get worked up about how we handled the sacking of the man who had no class himself to begin with and disrespected the club left, right, centre.
Pretty sure we’d just give him a signing on bonus to replace it.
Brendan Rogers to be a legend. Time will tell
What are the reasons why Pochettino wouldn’t come here now?
At the moment we're a destroyer of managerial reputations. You'd have to be mental to leave a cushy job for us.That and the fact that there’s not many people in football that say no when Manchester United come calling.
Exactly. I thought he was gonna come back with PepNobody because nobody has spent that much.
There are quite a few I would rather have than Poch. Zidane even.
What are the reasons why Pochettino wouldn’t come here now?
If you're sacking him for sure, what's the point of not sacking him before the game?
If the players all know he's a lame duck, you're surely better off with Carrick in charge against Newcastle.
Now it’s out there’s no way he can be in charge of the game tomorrow surely.
If I knew I was getting the bullet I'd play players all over the place, for pure shithousery.
"De Gea, up front today lad!"
If this is true then our board are bigger morons than we all thought, how can we expect them to make a right decision on the next manager?
At least a new manager will be exciting, in contrast to the tripe I've watched so far this season.
I'm just going to leave this here...
What’s the difference between that and paying a fee to Spurs for him.Why would they do that? Am I missing something?
